Elouda's sweet 1989 Korea (everything is hard and killing SAMs is dangerous as f*ck)

Always exiting to watch your video’s Krause.
Greetings

Extremelly intensive, great video!

A heart pumping mission (like many in the 80s theater), this has been described by some of my subscribers as the most intense mission they have seen, and one of the craziest SAM defenses around. NOE OCA strike on Taetan trying to do DEAD without HARMs. ACMI:

Having destroyed Hyon Ni airbase in a previous op, we return to attack engineers attempting to repair the runways. As my British friends say, things then go completely “tits up.” This package shows the chaos and casualty rates of the extremely deadly asymmetrical 80s action. A period in which the enemy aircraft are mostly better in armament than their NATO equivalents and in which all SAM systems still pose a deadly threat. A true knife fight in a telephone booth!

Krause, you’re awesome, man. It’s a little tough to stay locked into watching a video for an hour, but it’s always worth it at the end. Loved the guns kills, and like everyone else commenting on the video, I’d have liked to have seen the landing (even if it was nothing to speak well of).
Noice.

Godspeed Gentleman! (deep, deep, deep strike!)
Deep OCA strike on Sunchon airbase, the only airbase serving MIG-29s in theater, and heavily guarded by an interlocking network of air defenses. Too bad for the DPRK, there is also a blind spot in the defenses to the east, where a large mountain range looms. The LANTIRN equipped f-16 block42 squadron sets out in the dark night, mere feet from the tree tops, through cavernous valleys, to find the mark.ACMI: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B01Wjtmo89sBcXN4RnhPWkxuMmM/view?usp=sharing

Finally fly to kick Wonsan’s last leg out from under her. Previously rendered 50% operational, the formidable fortress air base, having caused so much pain to friendly forces over the last two days of the campaign, is finally in our sights to render completely destroyed. Still it’s brave defenders prepare to scramble.

Re-attack on the crippled but operational Koksan airbase and an AI on an engineer battalion frantically trying to repair it
Engineers from all over the DPRK are scrambling to repair the airbases we destroyed over the night, only one Mig-29 squadron stands in our way from stopping the engineers before they get to their objectives! -
Re-attack on a mig-29 base hit earlier in the campaign does not go exactly as planned - to say the least. Replay:

That’s some awesome flyin’, Krause.

Somehow managed to find a real picture of an f-16 in a turning fight with a mig-21!
Dangerous SEAD mission in preparation for an OCA strike. When suddenly, a MIG-21 spikes us as we roll through some mountains east of the target. Soon set a record for how many times I can miss with my guns in a snapshot.

With the air defenses leading to Kaechon suppressed, a well organized attack on the airbase turns into a nasty knife fight when our escort doesn’t show up!

Night has fallen on the Korean peninsula, LANTIRN-equipped block42 f-16s begin their bloody work like a knife in the dark while the DPRK is hesitant to sortie. Falcon1 attacks Hwangsuwon airbase, deep inside enemy territory and defended by a mig-21 squadron, an SA-2 and some MANPADS. Includes low altitude lofting, pop-up attacks and NOE midnight flying. Has a Tacview overview of the main attack near the end.
