Track ir and glasses
-
Track IR 4 works without any issues. I tested both Reflector clip and UTC Mk II Pro. Both worked flawlessly so you should be fine

Marc, the only āissueā Iāve seen is that I wear progressive eyeglass lens and sometimes thing get blurry as Iām moving my head around, but there are no problems with TIr and glasses, per se.
Iām considering getting a set pf ācomputer glassesā -
Yeah mine are reading glasses. Iām really looking forward to try this in my bms clickable cockpit
Thanks again

Wow!! What a difference it makes, was really easy to setup. Now I need to figure out what to do with my hat switch that I was using for the views

Map it to trim.
Youāll find that your neck muscles will ache after a flight and will do so for some time until you get used to it, but your ability to maintain SA would improve

So far so good, flew a couple hours yesterday and today it aināt bad at all, maybe tomorrow will be a different story I already have a condition on the left side of my neck(stiffness) from having a bad posture in front of my computer but no problem in my flying chair
Good idea for the trim
Thanks, Marcā¦

FWIW, my glasses rendered both TIR4 and FTNoIR uselessā¦ EDTracker works like a charm, though.

I got ācomputer glassesā ā¦. single prescription/correction lens, optimized for a bit more than arms length. Been using them with BMS for more than a year. Much better. Wonāt fly without them.

take an old pair of glasses and stick 3 pieces of reflective tape on them. maybe the glasses themselves could work as good as the clip does?

Nope. Obviously, the reflectors on the clip have a set geometry which TIR uses to figure out which way youāre looking.

Im prob wrong but I donāt necessarily agree with you. The three reflective stickers on the hat clip work but so do the 2 LEDās that mount on the side of the headphones. LEDs and reflective lights in two different places, 2 different geometries? Pretty sure one could alter glasses with strategically placed reflective stickers and make it workā¦.I mean obviously

There are 3 reflective strips and 3 IR LEDs. In the TIR software, you need to tell the program which ālayoutā to look for. Try using the LEDs while the program is set up to look for strips and youāll get interesting results.
