Falcon won't run fullscreen 3D world
-
Hi All,
This problem arose a few weeks ago. Falcon was running the 3D world in full screen using a 40" flat screen TV with HDMI. I also used a smaller LCD monitor to run my Falcon gauges on. I’m not sure why , but that doesn’t happen anymore. I notice that in the Falcon GUI, under graphics and resolution tab I now only have 3 resolution selections, the largest being 1280 by 720 I believe. There used to be quite a list of resolution choices in the drop down but now only 3 choices.
The LCD monitor has numerous resolution selections, no matter what card it is connected to.
The cards I use are:
Nvidia GeForce GTX 570 DVI to HDMI on Phillips 40" Flat screen TV(Native Resolution 1920 x 1080)
Nvidia GeForce 9800 GT DVI to VGA on HP LCD Monitor
No SLI or anything.

Not sure this will help, but you could try going into you User\Config folder and deleting the dx9dislpay.dsp file.
It will regenerate when you launch BMS.
Not sure if you’ve made any changes to your display configurations or unplugged and plugged them back in lately or changes to your gauges config.
So if deleting the file doesn’t work, not sure what else to search for.

Hi C9,
I tried deleting the dx9dislpay.dsp file, but that didn’t seem to make any difference. I have switched the displays to every port on both cards, but also didn’t seem to matter. Falcon display still has 3 selections for resolution, but the LCD monitor used for my gauges has plenty. GTX 570 drivers up to date. -
You could try set g_bAllowAllRefreshRates (see BMS-Manual page 248 for details).
I don’t know why you would suddenly get this issue though. Some option on the TV changed perhaps, or HDMI cable damaged?

Thanks Darkman,
That did the trick. Got all of my resolution choices back, selected the native resolution and all works fine. I also have no idea what caused my resolution list to get so small.
