Move other squadron steer points
-
So in my KTO campaign, my ground forces are moving forward, and I wanted to have JSTARs and AWACS move forward as well, in order to have better coverage over the front line. I know I can move the waypoints of flights in my squadron, but is there a way to move the steer points of other packages/flights not in your squadron. I have selected the flight and their steer points are all black, and I cannot move them.
Is there a way to do this without just fragging a whole separate flight?

That’s a good tactic provided they’ll have protection. Be aware that moving the CCCI flight does not also move the steerpoints of any assigned HAVCAP.
You can only do this before the flight has departed. Go in to the mission screen> ATO, show all packages. Drill down in the CCCI flights and right click on a JSTARS or AWACS and join the squadron. You’ll now be in their frag order and can drag their steerpoints to new positions. I like to also set them up for max endurance. Click one of their ELINT steerpoints and add hours until the flight path turns red. Just drop it back an hour or two and you’ll usually have a CCCI flight on station for the next 14 or 15 hours. This depends obviously on how far their patrol station is from their base.

So I just need to join that squadron, change the frag order and then rejoin my original squadron?

Yep. As long a the flight hasn’t departed that’s it.
Ideally you’ll do it well before their scheduled takeoff time, as you can move the steerpoints far enough to introduce timing issues if they are nearing their step time.
