Sorry,
- the dx9display is non-existent. Neither in the original 4.33 install, after reinstall nor it the 4.32 install (which I dug out to test). I also reinstalled GFX driver, used some tricks from various sources: installing .net framework, disabling intro, setting up windowed mode. What I didn’t try was plugging in headphone (see the post from lazystone) and reinstalling Win (Win 7 64 BTW).
Cheers

Ok, well, you have to have the file: http://www.mediafire.com/file/bg595cevgv12m15/dx9display.rar
Goes in your User/Config folder.
And yes, what Lazystone said.

Howdy,
thank you all. It didn’t help (I mean - adding dx9display manually to the config and plugging-in headset). It Looks like I’ll try reinstalling the whole OS.
Cheers

Correction, it DID work. I disabled HDMI audio and Bob’s your uncle!

I just have a similar issue on my SSD setup. Same pc runs just fine on the other boot same OS HDD.
Clean win 7 setup for BMS only.
I had installed 4.33 but never run it.
So I just installed 4.33.3select from launcher but doesn’t start. crashes without crash log.
What I dit.
HMDI sound disabled
settings on nvidia control panel.
copied the dx9display.dsp from my other boot hdd running bms just fine.
disabled bluetooth device
disabled intro movie.
copied the whole bms folder from my working other boot hdd.
Installed audio drivers from realtek.
Plugged the headphones and mic.None of those worked.
So it’s not a BMS thing, it must be a windows - system - drivers thing.
What remains to do are:
1. check read only folder permissions (not so hopped as the account is admin)
2. re check bluetooth things, strange though cause i have it on on the other hdd and runs just fine.
3. check nvidia settings to be identical as other setup…
4. Uninstall 4.33 and 4.33.3 and dance.
5. Uninstall all and do the just transfer thing…
6. Pray. :rofl:Do I miss anything else guys?
Edit: hmmm did I install the saitek wheel drivers??? hmmm
Edit: forgot to say that I also tried -window.
Edit:  found my solution and am sure 99.9% that this is the issue: https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?25318-BMS-4-33-only-work-in-32-bit-mode-64-bit-Crash-to-desktop
Ooohhh I’m getting old…
More over funny is that I saw the test forces in the controler panel and didn’t ring a bell… Oh dear… super old… -
Yeap… That was the issue… The known force feedback device issue…
