Cannot run Falcon BMS 4.33 after OS reinstall
-
LOL… you copy-pasted twice…
I wonder if the U1 folder you mentioned is the GAME folder or the INSTALLERS folder… as it is looking for a reg key, I’m guessing it’s the game folder. Just download the installers again and install BMS… and don’t forget to install Falcon 4.0 as well.
Good luck!
ps. keep that folder for backup purposes for your pilot log file, .key file, and so on…

Thanks for catching that
I would attempt to reinstall the game, but the only problem is that the setup file doesn’t even recognize that my game is installed on my pc.
I don’t want to uninstall the game by deleting all the files, but I can’t uninstall it through setup either.

If it doesn’t recognize it then just re-install. The registry entry may still be there? Broken possibly?

As C9 stated you need to reinstall. As there is no registry entry as its a new registry.
I would delete the old install folder first, but keep a copy of your logbook that’s in the user/config folder.
And yes its a good idea to keep it out of windows program folders. Even better in a partition of its own.
My 2 penny’s ……if I had any more I’d give it to you, but C9 stole them

Don’t worry it was close.

Okay, so I sucked it up and decided to reinstall Falcon by deleting the entire folder.
However, I’m having another issue with the Hub.exe file, which for some reason, will not delete, as it says that I do not have permission to delete the file.
Because of this, I can’t even launch the game.

What is this Hub.exe file? Where’d it come from?

Compilar, in the west, a small part of Silicone Valley & then north just past Sandy Hollow.
Protech you might try taking ownership of the file in its properties.
