Israel 80s, lets do it!
-
Israel:
F-16C-30 IAF
F-4E IAF
F-16A-15 (Was small tailed Block 5 and Block 10 only - not sure what year they got the bigger tails)
Mirage III
E-3 (They had E-2s at some point not aware they ever had E-3s)
F-15C IAF
A-10A (never operated by Israel)Missing
A-4 Skyhawk (various)
Kfir C2
F-15A/B/DI see, E-3, A-10A will be Nato Side.
-
What I’ve done today:
- Set the hardpoints for all planes to carry the correct weapons
- Entered the Squadron stores according to the data by Migbuster
- Started reworking the Squadrons in the Campaign
- Tried to fix the Kfir -not successful
- Sooo much research
What can’t be done (by me at least) for now:
A-4N (not implemented, only the M [with IAF Skin])
Kfir (No default Hardpoints, tried to enter the Mirage III hardpoints. Wasn’t successful so we might have to take Mirage III for this duty.)
No Aim-9L, only AiM-9M or JWhat would I need:
Data about EAF weapons. What weapons did they use etc.?
-
-I’d say just use the A-4M as a stand-in
-Mirage III for the Kfir
-Same with the F-15I as a stand-in for the F-15D. Close enough
-I don’t believe there is a J-6 in-game, but you can use a MiG-19-There is no AIM-9L…? They are definitely available in KTO 1989. Did Elouda add them in or something?
Here is what we have for EAF so far:

No Python ?
-
The Python 3 (Or on its first name “Shafrir 3”) - was operational in israel from 1978 according to wikipedia.
It should be moudled and still in used on the Israelis F-15’s in falcon. -
No Python ?
Who said no python…… definitely Python 3 (for F-15 and F-4)
Here’s what we’ve gathered so far for Israel:

Having trouble finding when and what type of Mavericks the Egyptians bought
This source shows Egypt having “some” AGM-65D in 1990 but no A, F, or G
-
Have photos of Python 3 being tested on an F-16A in an Israeli source, but it also states it was decided to not integrate it onto the F-16……thus likely only AIM-9 used until Python IV came about in the 90s.

nice find, gotta link? What about on F-15, F-4, and Kfir?
-
this is excellent. excellent.

The modern israel theater 2000EM has Magic 2 and Super 530D
the Mirage 2000EM would have shipped with R550 Magic (1) and Super 530F
not sure if Super 530F is in BMS

nice find, gotta link? What about on F-15, F-4, and Kfir?
Published books by Weiss & Alomi
willfind links when not on a flipping iphone
most f-15 claims in 82 were with python 3 I think so thats a cert….needed adapters to carry them. -
F-15 = YES…most claims were with Python 3
https://ospreypublishing.com/israeli-f-15-eagle-units-in-combatF-4 = YES…One claim in 1982 with Python 3
https://ospreypublishing.com/israeli-f-4-phantom-ii-acesKfir = Very likely…but only have a photo with a Shafrir 2 from
“Its like Lightning”, A Conversation with a Kfir Pilot, Defence Update ep 55F-16 = Probably NO (Weiss R, Page 101 )
https://www.amazon.com/F-16-Netz-Israeli-Squadron-1980-1987/dp/9657220173Some other sources don’t agree with this (One Western 1993 source thinks it was integrated from 1989), was taking it as read because Weiss has had a lot of access to IAF squadrons over the years.

Sounds good. Kinda busy with work right now (als have to learn for my PPL). So progress is slow, but there is progress. Right now it’s a lot of digging with F4Browse cause I have to edit each hardpoint for each plane. I finished the Israeli planes (F-4, A-4, F-15, F-16 (A,C) however that wasn’t too hard with the data that Migbuster provided. Now I have to do the Egyptian planes where there is a lot less information, thankfully Nighthawk, Gza036 and many others provided a lot of data, not only Planes but ammount of planes, SAMs etc. So a huge Thank You to everyone that helped! Now it’s my turn to implement this data into BMS. So that’s what I’m busy with right now.
-
It’s all good, take your time. If I had to learn how to use F4Browse I would probably blow my brains out. I’m glad you’re the one doing it
My dream is an 80’s Israel with all authentic ground units too.
I think late 80’s is the most interesting match-up vs Egypt, since they have their F-16’s and Mirage-2000EM’s by that time.
For Syria it would be cool to simulate the 1982 Lebanon War

EGYPTIAN AIR FORCE
-MiG-23: Acquiredx16 1974, By 1975 all Egyptian MiG-23s had been withdrawn from active duty and placed in storage due to lack of USSR support; Sold 4 to China; 12 sit in storage during the 80’s
A number of these went to the USA to fly with the 4477th TES “Red Eagles”. I believe they had up to eight or nine MiG-23s including some BN models so I suspect at least 5-6 Egyptian Floggers made the journey to Tonopah.
-
Looking forward to this guys!!

Small question … Does this project continue? It would be sad if the development ended …:(
-
Well it’s on pause right now. Trying to join the German Airforce as a GCI so I had some Tests and evaluations. The Database is done. So now I have to build a campaign.
Will it be finished within this year? Most probably, yes.
-
Thank you for answer. And I wish you good luck in your life to get GCI …
