Custom Modded Folder for 4.33
-
If we have modded files in our DB that you have not modified in these folders, will there be stock files in your folders that will over write and return them back to stock? I see many of the sound files are stock. Maybe you could only include the files you modded. That would make the download smaller and keep people’s existing modds intact.

Sound files have the same stock names, however, some of the files themselves have been modified. I do not recommend overwriting a custom objects database as you will lose any mods that you have independently added. If you would like to use the M2 database, I would re-add any custom mods that you have to the M2 database and not overwrite your existing one. To include only the files I have modded would require 3X times the amount of work to locate and extract. Again there is a lot of custom work done to fit certain mods together (example: Janhas’s LVN3 Blk52+ , The CFT version is the PoAF, while the non-CFT version is the HAF).

Rthorflech: Is your modded sound folder available somewhere for separate download? I would like to give it a try, and I’m not so much interested in the other mods in the package (some of them, such as the F/A-18 pit and skin, I already have). Thx.

Bravo!
And thanks a lot for your attention, as your usual.

Really really nice! Thank you!!

This is a great idea and thanks to Rthorflech for putting this together. Installing all of the models with LODEditor is so time consuming. I did find some things missing that I would have expected though. LV3 fuel tanks and pylons are not included. Not all of the LV3 weapons are included either. Some that I noticed missing were AGM-88, AIM-120B/C, CBU-52, ALQ-184.
CCIP Cockpit Mod for B50 and B40’s might be nice to add also.

I tried the Modded folder and this what i thought:
1. SAMs moudles arent implented in this folder -as it available in ostsee theater. I think those moudles are critical and important for the any falcon user.
2. I saw that the A-10A/C moudles making problems in the Tactical reference, i think it should worth a test.
3. Newish F-18C Cockpit isnt working for me
I used the Generic mod enabler, which did apply the rest of the moudles and things in the sim. so my guess is ,those are bugs.
Thank you for this folder, and i hope it will get better and better through time

Also, looks like the aim9-X LODs where not loaded correctly… skins looks weird on it.

Easy fix. Find the dds numbers for the aim 9x and delete them from the hires folder.

Just wondering, if i previously have loaded custom skins from Janhas etc using the LE, would I need to do anything different or can I still simply just install this “mod” per the instructions?
Thanks

AIM-120 B/C, are included (corrected the skin to proper C-7). All pylons are included. Need to add fuel tanks (thought those were included). ALQ-184 was not included in the weapons pack that I have. AGM-88 was not included because I thought the stock model that was installed was pretty good. I didn’t want to replace models that were already good. Overall goal was to improve those that needed improving, this saves size. The folder was already bloated to over 5GB. Not everyone wants the CCIP Cockpit mod. From doing this previously I learned that it’s easier to add on than it is to take away.

I remember trying to add the sams and running into some issues. I will take a second look at that was well as the A-10. I don’t remember changing the stock A-10. Keep in mind the Ostee theater is not the sam as Korea as far as database.

So add the folder but not overwrite?
I think I might benefit from a clean install… Most of my custom skins/objects are already in this modded folder.
OK thanks - looks like a job for the weekend!

Noticed texture issue with the AGM-65D and G

I understand the Oxygen sound has been turned down but I find it difficult to determine if it is turned on or not? Can I increase the breathing sound somehow? Great mod btw! Love the new startup sounds especially!

Find the DDS numbers of the mavericks from JanHas installer and put them in the KoreaObj folder. If DDS files with the same numbers exist in KoreaObj/HiRes, delete them.
-
If you see a skin that is incorrect on any of the JanHas models its is always due having a duplicate skin in the Hi-Res folder.

Turn on your oxygen go up and pull some really hard G! I will look into turning up the breathing for those that like it.
