Israel Theater Campaign Victory Conditions
-
Hi All:
First, I just got started on ITO today and it’s beautiful! Thanks so much to you guys and all the volunteers. It’s just amazing what you all do.
So anyway, I don’t know how to check for victory conditions for the campaigns. I looked in the readme and searched the forums for Israel Theater Victory Conditions and only found the BfB victory conditions. Also I checked the U3 release announcement and either I am skimming too fast or it’s not anywhere I am looking. Any help much appreciated.

You can read the trigger files. They don’t need to be deciphered, there’s an explanation for each campaign trigger event.
They are in the campaign folder and they open with Notepad or Wordpad.
The are Save0.tri, Save1.tri and Save2.tri. Typically, Save0 is the middle campaign, Save1 is the bottom campaign and Save2 is the top campaign.
I have Israel installed but I’m calling it a night, it’s past this old mans bedtime. I’ll check in the morning to make sure that is correct.
I’m sure once you look at them though, you should be able to figure out which is which.
Cheers,
C9

This might help
the campaign will conclude in a tie if it’s rolling for a preset number of days (I can’t recall if it’s 7 or 14 right now).
both campaigns are tested to end (one way or another) even without the user intervention.“Standing wave” is an all out war, for which victory conditions are blue forces in Damascus and Beirut. sometime you have red units hiding in the city (and preventing your forces from moving in - therefor you are stuck).
“solid truss” is an aerial attrition campaign, you need to get the opposite side airforce power to less then 30%. i.e you need his fighters airborn, becuase you cannot reduce their numbers on the ground. so if their bases are closed completly all the time - you can’t win.
so you will need to control which airbases you leave open, and by that, what you kill. for example, shutting down all the F-16 and M2K bases will leave you with Mig21s, F4s which are easier to kill. then you can destroy industrial infrastructures to cut down enemy resupply and then give their advance fighters a chance to get off the ground, one base at a time

Thanks Gentlemen! So it’s not just a glitch that I only see 2 campaigns for ITO?

Correct. At one point uri said that more ambitious campaigns were planned for the future, but not scheduled necessarily. It’s in the forum somewhere, sorry I do not have a quote.

I’m going to ask three questions, so hopefully you guys can help me. I’m very very bored, and I’m away from home working on some really pedestrian shite, I’ve been playing and learning the interworkings of this wonderful sim. I thought, I would fly f-117s, and just use the tgp to steam roll egypt on the tarmac, i envisioned dropping some gbus on taxiways… question the 1st, does your f-117 have nothing available in the loadout screen?
the 2nd) do planes killed on the ground count towards the aerial attrition?
the 3rd) if the answer to the first question is “no” what do you recommend I do?the reason I want to use the f-117, is because right now as is I’m playing with a keyboard and mouse, arrows keys, etc etc etc. learning the callbacks, using the AP to TGP and LS that aircraft, which basically flies that way as is, seemed reasonable. But I hit a snag right off, as it’s generally accepted you need bombs to bomb.
i’ve also noticed, just as a side note, that many aircraft do not have a ground FCR, only an air FCR, such as the f-22 and the eurofighter- which leads me to think, my install on this laptop might be screwy. Thank you all, hope you’re having a good enough monday.

if you sead and dead and OCA the israeli campaign will never be won. it was tuned like that to kill the auto tasked flights into egypt and keep the migs and and f-16s coming at you.
once you put harms in the system, all the air defenses die, and the campaign becomes unwinable because all the enemy jets are grounded.

It would be nice if there were some amphibious landings to help with capturing cities west of the suez and nile in the campaign. Bridges have been down for 7 days.
