Help with Lebanon Mig29A
-
Well I mean, if you cant clear the chocks in afterburner, there is probably something wrong with the physics in the sim
-
I was not aware you can âoverpowerâ the chocks XD

Hi all
Iâm not sure if i am missing something so here goes. Loaded up Israel Theater, started campaign and chose a squadron of Mig29Aâs in lebanon. Ramp started the mig according to Falcon BMS docs. Iâve set the tower frequency to UHF preset 15. Ingame after ramp starting and setting the UHF preset to 15 which shows the frequency as 354.00(The airbase). Problem is i cannot call tower to remove chocks or taxi, all radio power is on as far as i can tell and VHF works, awacs is contacting me and so on.
How do i contact tower being in a mig29 lebanon on ramp startâŚ
What happens if you select âTaxiâ ?
-
Absolutely nothing, its like the radio is off but it is not.

Hello there.
Well something is wrong at your words for sure.
First of all non of the 2 campaings of Israel theater ver. 1.0.3 has airbases in Lebanon.
Also if you had created a mission by T.E. builder, all 4 airports of Lebanon have no UHF ATC frequency. Check the file âIsrael Navaids list v1.0.3.pdfâ into the folder: âŚ\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\Data\Add-On Israel\Docs\Airport Data and IAP charts.
Now if you have had started in any Syria airport, also there is no UHF ATC frequency, only VHF ones. Again take a good look at the mentioned pdf file ;).
Prefer to set the ATC frequency manually according to the correct pdf document.

EasyâŚ
How do you remove the chocks via UHF frequency? Make exactly the same actions via VHF one.

Nikos. Thanks alot for the help, VHF worked as you said

In your briefing, open your data cartridge, and in the coms, set channel 15 with the SET TOWER button. Now, in cockpit with all systems up, load the DTE. That hopefully will do it.

I need some advice on the mig- ews programs donât work at all, only manual chaff and flare work- am I doing something wrong? Also the mig doesnât seem to have ecm, Iâve tried all versions, doesnât seem to matter- please advise.

Iâm not sure about the ECM, however, the only way to release any sort of countermeasure is to use ctrl + , to release chaff and ctrl + . to release flares. Of course, itâs very finicky when youâve got a python 4 on your tail and trying to perform manoeuvres all at once so itâll need rebinding if you want to use it effectively. I think the Mig-29 in BMS just isnât fully compatible with the F-16 avionics so there isnât an option for ews, partly due to the fact that there isnât actually a button in the cockpit to change ews programs etc.
