Yes it is still alive. For now no release yet… But soon it will be finished. I have to do research for Portuguese skin and for the type Portugal uses

Yeap, why not.

Very nice model art. I like!!! Cheers

Very cool. One error though. The outboard wing stations can’t hang harpoons or mavericks. They are too heavy. The max weight on those pylons is around 600 lbs
-
I’ve found many pics with Harpoons on the middle; pylons, and indeed non in the outer;
Our model has all 3 in each outer side, but if I am correct as in the below pics they don’t even load these 2 outer pylons you are referring?
Comment from the last pic: “Crewmen loading an AGM-84D Harpoon on the outer ordnance shackles of a P-3 Orion.” So I suppose they mean not the real outers, but the installed outers (which are the middle in out model; )
-
–---------------------------
-
Every airplane get configure different. The outboard most pylons are not always mounted. but there can be 18 racks total. 1 thru 8 in the bomb bay depending on how its setup, and then 9 thru 18 on the wings.
-
You don’t see many images of P-3Cs with the outboard pylons mounted (so with all 3 on the wing end).
I’ve only seen P-3B/Cs with a max of two outboard pylons mounted. However, when looking at images of Harpoon carrying P-3Cs, I can’t really tell if they are using STA 17 or STA 16? Certainly doesn’t seem to be STA 18.

Ok good to know, I’ll fix the loadouts accordingly when its time.
-
But, as it says in picture those loadout is possible for block ‘buno 150506 and onwards’ , so it is (export) version dependent.
I know from an old submarine/ship/helo/plane tactical simulator, Dangerous Waters, you can drive/fly P3 also, and there’s only 2 outer hp’s. (see on ytube) - and that is an old sim, from 2000-2002.
In the end you just have to choose which model, simple… imho, 4 poon’s are enough for 1 ASuW patrol plane (in Falcon!) , I guess.
–edit:
Just checked with ‘Command’ which has pretty big and, now I don’t claim 100% accurate, database, there’s at least 20 multinational versions of P3’s up to - P3 update III+ AIP 2008 (South Korea) and from '81
they all use only 4 ASM’s , so probably 2 outer - 2 inner loadout… which hardpoints, they don’t mention., probably 11/16 and 13/14 , and you’re good to go -

150506 (c/n 5032) is a P-3A delivered in March 1964 to the US Navy. So I’m pretty certain that schematic with the 3 wing stations are perfectly valid for the P-3B/C.
For completeness sake, 150506 went to the boneyard in 1983 and was cut-up in the 1990s. It was seen in pieces in 1997 and has since vanished so I suspect its now cans of dog food. -
So as i started “closing” open projects to dedicate my time finishing my f-5 and the grippen also the P-3 is on the closing list. First pack will have the B version with some liveries (Usn,Norway and probably Canada) and later will be a C version (USN and Japan liveries) Stay tuned for more to come. Greek version will remain in Ikaros (sorry)
