How Cargo aircrafts effect logistics in the campaign?
-
When i add a squadron of C-17, the HQ then Automatically send C-17s to other airbases for transporting.
So is that truly effective for distributing supplies or just an eye candy in the campaign?
Thanks!

nobody answers my question:(

Probably because no one knows the answer lol. Good question though.

As far as I’m aware, yes supplies are distributed by airplane, but due to the current over production and distribution of supply by the campaign system as implemented you rarely see a significant benefit.

Okay thanks! I get it. I am just wondering if a squadron is running short of ammunition such as MK-82, a Cargo plane subsequently touches down the airbase for so called “distributing”. Will the storage level of MK-82 get back to high more quickly than no-Cargo ?

Doesn’t seem to do anything in TE but in campaign I set the 127th ROK AAA Bn to 50% supply 5:15:04 and it was reset to 100% at 5:20:00 with or without an airlift.
I cleared out supply for several places nearby and at :20:00 it had 60 supply. Some was filtering in.
I broke supply network to isolate Sachon and a few other nodes from the main network and removed all existing supply. Resupply did not happen without air injection. AutoATO seems to be able to set non-airbase objectives as landing destinations while I have difficulty doing this manually.
The supply network is a series of connected nodes which transport supply from producers. It appears that airfields are the only valid destinations of airlift which is where the supplies would be injected into the network. Then the network would continue to transport the supplies to the final destination.

Thank you for the study! i understood.

Very interesting. How did you do it ?

You can “destruct” bridges around the city or town which you want to isolate by Mission Commander.:-D
if the city or town is not surrounded by bridges, you change the ownership of nearby nodes by Mission Commander. That will work.
Thanks!

So does that mean it’s possible to isolate an objective by bombing all bridges around it, unless there’s a “bridgeless” road left leading to it ?
If so, it’s interesting because I used to believe that there was no way to isolate anything through bombing in Falcon 4.0 campaign. -
