Missions not loading in Falcon 4.33
-
Seasons Greetings to All!
I was eagerly anticipating starting a DEAD mission where I was in a F/A-18 loaded with eight JSOW’s. The home page came up, indicated progress through the first two segments, and promptly froze. Bummer. Trying to run a Furball first before starting a mission in a campaign seems to help this problem. Any ideas?

Any mods or modification applied to your install?

Yes! This old bug. I know it, if you are starting from carrier.
There are some work arounds, and even found a fix, but it needs db change with editor.
My usual work around for this is to set sqdn off hq control and pilot control only. There are some more listed at “carrier ops ITO” install directions.
Ccc and Ranger helped me fix that bug on Nordic db, and it was a very strange fix. I kinda found it on accident, but it worked. Real fix is a little complex and I can’t explain fix now , but can post it later when I can look at what was done again. That is if you are up to adjusting priorities in falcon edit.
We were calling this the “pie screen lockup” as you say it gets stuck on 2nd segment and stops.
If you get this on a normal runway, it must be something I don’t know about. Pie screen lockup is carrier take off problem only. But the prob is in the aircraft properties.

postponing post on this fix… I have to recreate the issue again and fix it .
I can’t find the series of pics I had explaining it!It won’t be long though , It was an easy quick fix , I just spent my time looking for the existing explanation I had , instead of re- figuring it out. I am trying to put all the stuff I do together so I don’t have t re learn things every time I run across them,
this one I think got deleted from PMs before I saved it. ooops!
will be back with answer soon , 2 to 3 falcon days

This seems very strange,I know, but it worked!
I don’t know if something was not saved right or what, but after you save this is Falcon Edit, the pie screen glitch disappears.
This was discovered and tested in NTO. I couldn’t believe it was what worked , but ccc also tested it and it fixed the issue on his end as well. -
Hey, Man! I ran through the sequence of screenshots you sent! It worked perfectly! No more pie section freezing!
Thanks alot!
