IVC problem
-
I’m running multiplayer on a lan connection between two computers.
I manage to communicate only from the computer that is not the host of the ivc server in flight.
Before launch or outside the sim the comm works both ways.

Both way but falcon initiates the ivc on clients.
Have in mind the correct IP.
If the host is also flying, the IP to connect to own self server is different from the IP to connect to own ivc server.
One is 0.0.0.0 the other is 127.0.0.1
Sorry don’t remember which is which… It’s a witch thing [emoji38]Στάλθηκε από το MI 5 μου χρησιμοποιώντας Tapatalk

A game connecting to 127.0.0.1 is localhost. IVC should be able to connect to localhost as well but 0.0.0.0 may work as a substitute. It’s definitely 127 for the game.
Looking at the IVCServer.exe text output can show much diagnostic information. Look for taking beginning and ending events in output text. Check that the frequency channels are what you expect and equal (config can make them different) between clients. Are messages being sent without audio heard or is message not even attempted?
Look if IVCClient in focus it works and IVCClient not in focus it doesn’t (problem with key “hooking”).

Solved!
As stupid as its sounds…IVC cannot connect two players with the same name (‘viper’) in flight.
