Hello,
what configuration do you use to run softth with BMS?
I have black screen when I launch BMS+softth, I’m using the 2.01
thx
I use 2.06. Put the d3d9.dll and config.SoftTHconfig into Bin/x86
This is my config file
[main]
renderResolution=3840x2148
nonlocalFormat=RGB32D
keepComposition=0
smoothing=1
debugD3D=0
zClear=1
vsync=0
tripleBuffer=0
screenshotFormat=jpg
dllPathD3D9=auto
dllPathDXGI=auto
dllPathD3D11=auto[overrides]
forceResolution=0
antialiasing=0
processAffinity=1
FOVForceHorizontal=0
FOVForceVertical=0[head_primary]
screenMode=3840x1024
sourceRect=0,0,3840,1024[head_1]
; Autodetected as \.\DISPLAY2 at NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460
devID=1
sourceRect=0,1124,3840,1024transportResolution=3840x1024
transportMethod=local
noSync=0As you can see I am using just one video card.
Each row of screens is connected to a Matrox Triplehead, but you can use any amount of video card and screens.
The Tripleheads do the horizontal bezel management, SoftTH does the vertical bezel management.Works like a charm for me.:D

That is awesome! I had issues with nvidia surround, the sim would not run with 2x gtx470 in sli using the latest 280.xx drivers. I loaded softTH and disabled surround to get the 3 monitors going at 5760x1080. Thanks BMS for the great sim! Anyone else get nvidia surround working?

Damn Great!!!I tried 2.05 and didn’t work with BMS4. Thanks for this great news!
Another main concern of mine is instrument export. Since BMS4 forcing use window mode and this kill almost half of my FPS (from 60+ to 30+), I’m looking a way to use softTH with BMS4 and export instruments under full screen mode. I try this in DCS:A-10 and successfully save my FPS from 20+ to 50+ (with 2 MFD export). Since BMS4 use the similair way to define display port and instruments like A-10C, I wish BMS team will add this feature in the future ,or someone kindly teach me how do do this via editing .cfg files etc.:D

Hi questerymj,
MFD export is something I am very keen on doing as well. If you do find out (or if i do), would you mind sharing the info?
at the moment, i havent bought 3 screens. But i’d like to. The only thing that puts me off is the bezels on the monitors. Samsung have a MD203 setup and it looks great - but the price is a bit too high.
Has anyone any suggestions? To get 3 monitors and MFD extractions would be a dream come true…
probably lose my wife and kid mind you…
… oh and my job and probably everyone I know!!
but i am guessing it would be worth it?

Cpt Mr Calm
I’m using 2 LCD-8000U USB monitors for MFDs. I will remove the shell/bazels when my panel design is finished and they will be perfect.
Here is basic setting right now:

For price, LCD-8000U cost around 100 USD each. USB plug and play ,fairly easy. And I think the price is acceptable…Don’t know if your wife think so although.:P

thanks for the info. Will definately look into this.
At the moment, I have the task of getting familiar with BMS itself -but once i get good at that, I will definately look into this.
I have bookmarked this page.
Once again, thanks.
I was also talking about 3 main monitors too -some guy on here is using 3 projectors!!! sweet jeezas!

I’d done my test last night.
SoftTH running with BMS4 without instrument export( full screen mode): looks like worked but without any display.
SoftTH running with BMS4 with instrument export(forced window ):The game is running but I can’t see anything displayed in main monitor.
Looks like need to wait BMS to add the option to enable instrument export under full screen mode.

thank you, it works very well
I have a small problem with the mouse, I try to do a rampstart but the mouse is stuck on the left screen.

Hey Guys… Just tested out SoftTH with my setup and it works great!
I had 2 5:4 1280x1024 LCDs laying around from my older rig which I couldn’t use in a multi monitor setup since EyeInfinity needs all displays to be the same resolution/size.
SoftTH enabled me to use these displays simultaneously. Enabled 32 bit color and VSYNC / Tripplebuffer in the SoftTh config file without any noticeable FPS hit.
Here’s a quick video showing the initial run…
[1280x1024] x [1920x1080] x [1280x1024]

anyone else got the really slow ui screen issue? i can fix it but in config but then lose freetrack and debrief clickable is fubar?

tried everything I can think of.

Anyone ? ? ? ?
I guess not oh well……

Is it beneficial or workable to use the SoftTH with one card with three (non-surround / non-eyefinity) outputs?
I have some GTX475 which has two DVIs and one DisplayPort, and which doesn’t allow Surround Gaming in itself. But I would have the three displays… -
From what I’ve understood yes, it will use another video card in your system to display the remaining output.
It mirrors what would be the 3rd output internally over the PCI-E bus and displays it through the 2nd video card.
Nvidia hardware is limited to 2 simultaneous displays per card, even though there is technically 3 outputs. So with a second card installed in your system you will now have 3 outputs possible. The second card does not have to perform any 3D rendering, so requirements are low. All video cards must be PCI-E, not compatible with AGP or PCI due to bandwidth limitations.

Hello. Can I ask you if you solved this issue? How did you fix it using the config tool?

I have 3 monitors on 1 card, it’s an AMD/ATi, but I could get it working with many nVidia cards as well. For my generation I needed an active HDCP-DVI adapter to generate the 3rd timing signal but more modern cards generate at least 3 timing signals natively.
I have a working 3-screen SoftTH setup with BMS that I’m quite pleased with.

Just for guys searching for it:
@The_Nephilim:you will need to edit the “Falcon BMS.cfg” in 2 spots for Field of View:
1. g_fDefaultFOV to whatever works for you I have it set too 110…
2. g_fMaximumFOV = whatever you would want the max FOV go out to… I set mine to 110 again here…other than that as long as you setup Surround mode for whichever card you have it should just work as long as you are using a triplescreen resolution… I think this is the info you needed as it was a bit vague on what you need info wise…
