Corrupt bsf files?
-
Hello,
I’m trying to update from U3 to U4 and am getting Corrupt file: “4.33_Update_2_Part_1.bsf” and Corrupt file: “4.33_Update_3_Part_1.bsf” during the file check. I’ve downloaded the torrent multiple times, used different software to uncompress. Anyone know what’s up here?
Thanks

Anyone have any ideas how I could deal with this?
-
disable antivirus - redownload.
-
hmmm… didn’t work. How can I tell which version I have installed?
-
Start Sim, look in bottom right corner

Check your downloaded file against the known hash (md5, sh256, etc) for the file. Also, check the torrent files hash. This verifies the integrity of the file.
You can try unzipping other large files to see if you get errors, if you want.
Try saving/opening off of your primary HDD/SDD, just in case you are saving to a flash or HDD device that could be corrupt. (May not even apply)

Re build your X: /Falcon BMS 4.33 U1 Setup Folder from scratch.
Yes delete the old one.
You mention “using different software to uncompress” there is only one download that needs to be decompressed, and that the main "Falcon_BMS_4.33_U1_Setup.zip.
The others are downloaded as executables and are “run” not “uncompressed”

I replaced a fresh U1 Setup folder. Still having the same problem. On the product update screen it says currently installed U1 Base and U2 so it would seem I need to start with U3 but still get the corrupt file for Update_2_Part_1.bsf. Trying to avoid having to reinstall everything from scratch but am at a loss for how to proceed.

Scratch that. I deleted and reinstalled U2 and seem to be making progress now.

instead of turning off AV as that dosnt always work you can add an exception to a folder and save files to that folder etc. etc
most of the time it works better than just turning off the AV software
just a suggestion
