Does anyone know how to become a Falcon BMS tester? I would like to become one.

I don’t think the BMS team uses testers.

Long time no see, Knight.
There is no vacancy or persona, but I think you should have a great fascination for Falcon BMS and know the application pretty well. Knowledge about aviation and how software works are also a good foundation. But testing also often means doing very boring things. For example: You have to shoot a HARM thirty times on the same target and analyze what happens. If you have found a bug, it is necessary to describe it in detail and create a reproducible case so that the developers can understand it as quickly as possible. Once your bug has been fixed, you’ll have to re-test if the problem really does not exist anymore. You should have 3-4 hours 2 times a week for testing. Knowing someone in the DEV team or having helped others here in the public forum also makes things easier.
In the end, the BMS management decides about it.

I’d like that too.
-I can do a cold start with success 4 out of 5 times.
-I get a flat tire on landing only 3 times out of the 10!
-I can reach to “cleared to contact” when trying to refuel!
-and I have even more to dig out of my sleeve!! -
Beta testing is boring as hell, you better keep enjoying the game…

Well, if this isn’t just a joke… a Falcon-size project requires serious testing actually, so sure there are testers, it’s safe to say that without proper testing, bug finding was much slower and delivered versions would have been way more buggy.

Oh I’m sure that they test a ton. I just didn’t think they pulled people out of the community to test. I was under the impression they just tested within the dev community.

Ha I see now, from that aspect you are right, Dev versions are closed only to the Dev group (So testing is performed only by testers that are part of the BMS team).

Yeah testing plane and softwares is… long… very long!
I am doing that for A319 and god that takes time…
