Falcon AF to Falcon BMS 4.32 Conversion Guide

packerlogger I think that is very useful to know why CTD happened…
-
The shareMPclouds is disabled, because we encountered a hang in MP when recieving clouds far too often.
The other 2 options are logging MP packets. These logs will grow to a very large size rather quickly. As we are no devs, they serve no real purpose, and that’s why we choose to disable the logging.

Makes sense. For debuging reasons logfiles are very handy, other than that not very usefull it seems and constanty HDD writtings.
Personally i only save debriefing.txts (own campaigns) or acmis in HvH events only. -
as revientor said set g_bShareMpClouds 0, disable the sincro of the clouds between the host/client client/client
the second one hmmm, i don’t remeber
the set g_bEnableRakNetPacketLogger 0, disable the logs of the packets ins your X:\FalconBMSinstall\user\logs if you are not aware of it you should take a look to that folder, that would surely be heavy and fullCorrect.
Working on version 1.31.
Thanks for the feedback, fellas.

Good stuff, thank very much
-
about set g_bShareMpClouds 0 , I sopouse that this disable it, as a consequence, this will decrease the internet traffic making BMS online fly more smooth,
NO, the clouds are generating traffic ONLY at Connexion / transfer…after that there is no other MP messages generated by clouds
-
Disabling clouds causes me to lose connection while inflight everytime. Coulds enabled I never lose connection regardless what the host has set. Not sure why.
-
As a beginner in BMS world, I thank your for your effort!

I am seeing exactly the opposite, so one of us is a wanker.

completely unrelated, there is only 1 MP cloud message at connexion, after that, no use

Mower,
Thank you and the 294th FS/1st VFW for this great guide, it has helped me tremendously. I noticed that you have further updated the guide at the First Fighter Wing. Any chance we could be worthy of this latest version?

Thank You……doesn’t matter,as long as your Host is set correctly…you the Client is set correctly…it’s fine.
Quit mess’in with your install, and try and fly what they gave us,for now!?!?!!?
Stay out of the “DirtyData”,it work’s fine…IMHO.

Yes sir, here is ver 1.33.

Yes JP, but the issue is repeatable. Everytime I turn share clouds off I lose connection. Turn it on and have no issues, so somehow there’s a relationship there.

YOU(Boner),as Client or Host???
Just a question……???
Can you try and join Archer’s TS,and fly with those guy’z???
Just a thought…though it may help in the end.demer
(BTW…I’m concerned about your “Relationship” with MO’…Meh!?:D)

Of course there is: the common link to the problem is YOU.

I don’t think I’d enjoy flying there. I’ve heard there’s little SOPs and terrible comm discipline, but I may jump on some evening and try it.

Hey! My IVC worked well last night
