HD Graphics
-
Just downloaded BMS Falcon 12345 updates. Went to graphics setup chose 3440 x 1440 becaUSE i AM RUNNING nVIDIA 1080 GTX TCI but when I hit apply and OK and I start flying it looks like 1080 x 1200 more like Vga. I am also running a 34 Ultra wide monitor. Can someone help me please. I remember playing this about a year ago and the graphics were crystal clear. Is there a patch for HD graphics I am not aware of?
Thank you very much for any help

My bet would be on having Win10 “Full Screen Optimizations” on. Try disabling them:
-
Yes, better wording.

What do you mean and where can I find win 10 resize button or action tab? Is it in the settings on the falcon BMS? What size do I bring it to?
Thank You

Right click on shortcut, properties, compatibility, disable fullscreen optimization(little tick box)
-
I tried what you said above and no better results. I installed falcon 4.0 from web and installed BMS with the 1234 and 5 updates. Did I do it right?
Thank you

Is some kind of driver overwrite enabled?
I would check NVidia Control Panel (C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\Control Panel Client\nvcplui.exe),
NVidia Game Experience (don’t think it recognizes Falcon),
and probably - if possible the Windows 10 Gamebar (don’t know if it recognizes Falcon too)
and other tools that might have access to the driver. -

[email protected]Exactly the same problem here with GTX 970 - BenQ LCD 3840x2160
The old and the newest Nvidia driver did not help. -
SOLUTION: Go Falcon BMS file and right mouse button Launcher.exe >> Properties >> Compatibility >> Turn off full screen optimizations :bdance:
-
Hello,
I suggest you read this Nvidia Game Ready Driver Release Notes (v411.70) knowledge base, this is the latest Nvidia driver released Release Date Thu Sep 27, 2018 and Control Panel User’s Guid if I I am not mistaken, they are PDF.
Search in, Additional Information.

A screen shot of the BMS UI that shows the version # in the lower right side might be helpful.

man is there one of us at all who didn’t have to completely tear down windows or have some other problem with that creator update thing? I literally bought this rig to run flight sims and it was like day two of having everything working that it went live OH MY FFS, what a nightmare I could feel my aorta pulsating.

NOT the LAUNCHER(.exe) , rather, create new shortcut directly to the MAIN x64 exe , “\bin\x64\Falcon BMS.exe” (or if you use 32bit then, “\bin\x86\Falcon BMs.exe”) ,
then on that shortcut do whatever you want, turn ON ‘disable fulscreen optimization’ AND override high dpi setting -> application…actually, it even should work , if you preset this at the Launcher.exe , because everything else is sub-process , but above is safer
