How to backup axis mappings?
-
Hi folks,
ever so often my BMS forgets about axis assignments I’ve made for my HOTAS Warthog, esp. when I accidentally launch BMS without either of the two devices being connected (long story :)).
I was wondering which files I need to backup in order to recreate the mappings (with connected devices) within BMS?
I’ve tried copying the axismapping*.dat in between BMS launches files but that doesn’t seem to work.
TIA & all the best,
Uwe

Once I have my setup in order, I change settings of these files so they’re Read-Only. Has always worked for me.
axismapping.dat
axismapping_tmp.dat
DeviceSorting.txt
joystick.cal
joystick_tmp.cal -

Great tip, thanks for that. Like Hoover I’ve launched BMS without running my Warthog script only to find that I have to map all the axes all over again

Must add to the hot list.
