Losing look when target is close to Zenith - intended or bug?
-
During every dogfight - while using the HMCS to lock targets - I keep losing the target when it’s towards the Zenith for me (whether my nose is pointing up directly towards he or not - therefore I don’t think it’s a blind spot on a specific º of the radar azimuth/elevation like there used to be a bug on DCS before). It also seems to happen when it’s daytime and the target is also in front of the sun or close to it.
It does seem like a intended feature, but then I was wondering why it happens. I could maybe understand it being harder to maintain a heat signature tracking when poiting towards the sun, but I don’t understand how the sun or the zenith would affect maintaining a radar lock - rather, I believe that pointing towards the ocean would make it more difficult to maintain a radar lock, yet I don’t remember a time I lost tracking to a target below me in front of the ocean.
Could someone clarify this, it’s mostly for my curiosity above all, as losing track during a dogfight has not been that much of a problem during all the dogfights I played.
Thanks.

Radar or IR missile ?
If IR missile it is normal.

Radar Lock, while on dogfight mode ACM using the HMCS to lock targets.
