If you have a crash ( CTD ) when starting the campaing: Posible solution
-
Hi, It seems that sometimes having the bulleye active at the beginning of a campaing can make you CTD (Perhaps this can be solved in the .cam , we don’t know yet)
To me, I had a CTD at the very moment of comitting to a new campaing. If I created a new pilot the crash disappeared.
The fix was WAY simple:
- Got into any te file I had previously saved.
2)Right click and deselect bullseye - Save datacard (so It saves itself in the .ini)
4)Exit and now try to start campaing. It worked for me.
That way I changed my pilotname.ini MAP_POP section, that seems to control what you see in default on the 2d map.
You can also copy/paste your joepilot.ini MAP_POP section:MapOpt_0=0
MapOpt_1=0
MapOpt_2=1
MapOpt_3=1
MapOpt_4=1
…
MapOpt_33=0and overwrite your own pilotname.ini only in that section.
Thanks for the previous .ini tips by SnowSky in EMF theater cause it solved my own crashes.

Hi again!
I have 3 different installs of my theater. The above solution worked for one. For the other two I had to do the same but also deselect threat circles and bridges and political. After that everything was fine.
So now you also know. Play around with what you see on your 2d map. Save the .ini (datacard). And try again to see if that helps on the CTDs on the campaing.

I had a similar problem but with a mission and It was to change the bullseye at their original position and ¡Magic! Flying again.
