Campaign Sliders
-
Hi there just a curious question for how exactly are the sliders work and sorry if im naive or too bored to search the entire manual or this forum. Ok i can understand the force levels sliders, Pilot skill and ADA (??? excuse me???) Skill what are they stand for? i mean is for my side or is for the enemies? Also another thing that i wanna ask is there a way to stop AI from aborting missions only because they got the enemy attention or been shot at? Actually im not a newbie but i might be cause i didnt played before with those sliders so to understand really what they do i just tested or played always the “general” slider from recruit to cadet etc….
Thanks in Advance… -

The sliders work and I recommend you put some effort into learning how to employ them as managing a successful campaign is rewarding.

Yeah, and even I’m lazy, I can tell you that in fact Page #49 - #54 in
\Falcon BMS 4.32\Docs\Falcon 4 Legacy Manuals\2 - Realism Patch 5\Realism Patch 5 Manual.pdf
… should answer all your questions.Cheers, http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f82/lazystone/Smileys/hat_3.gif
LSI just read those pages and it talks about mission types, PAK’s, force levels and density slider.
No helpful info regarding ADA skill level?
Assume it’s enemy skill level. -
From the original Falcon 4.0 manual, Page 12-10:
"Challenge Rating provides four settings that influence the power of the enemy in the campaign. The overall Challenge Rating changes based on the force composition levels. You can adjust these levels by using the slider bars at the bottom. The slider bars represent the ratio of force levels between North Korea (the DPRK) on the left and South Korean allied forces on the right. Slide the scale to one side and you tilt the ratio of forces in one side’s favor, increasing the need for you to be an ace pilot or giving you some room to breathe if you’re still a recruit. You are not reducing forces to zero but providing more forces for the enemy and thus increasing the difficulty. The Pilot Skill setting and the ADA (Air Defense Artillery) Skill setting can also be adjusted; these settings determine the quality of the enemy. Once the campaign begins, the force ratios are locked and cannot be changed."
And ppl say the original 4.0 manual is worthless, LOL

Thats what i needed to know…. Thanks Cloud!
I just run a Campaign with General challenge at rookie and Pilot and ADA at Ace… 2 F-16’s and 2 F-4E 2020 over Alexandroupolis made my life difficult… I thought i had a “pitbull” and very close to impact the enemy pilot Brakes hard left and avoids the missile… lol… after that i just furballed with the f-4s that where behind my wingman and cause of the close range i couldn’t take a clear shot!! damn… wel it is challenging… and i like it… -

LOL, I was furballed yesterday in EMF with an F16, I was heading home and had already downed 4 F16’s, I should have just headed home, but I had 2 heaters left and wanted to get this dude, he was down low, I hit him with one heater but he was only smoking. So I continued to follow him down to finish him off, I lost track of him for a bit to my side and then located him, Bitchin’ Betty was screaming altitude, but I didn’t care, I got lost in the pit, panning around but got a lock, I shot and slammed into the ground, hahaha.
Oh well!!!

lol…. The thing i like in EMF ( o yeah! ) it that it haves airmobile missions to units… I saw it with my eyes a pack of helicopters just took off from Alexandria gone to Halkidiki picked up 1 unit and deployed them in Mitilini. Im almost in 2nd day’s end things are good. So u don’t use track IR? ( i do sometimes). In combat i trying not to loose the enemy from my sight and i almost (99%) in my memory all the keystrokes i need to be successful so i dont really have to look around the cockpit plus in my Hotas-x i have programmed the buttons to give me a lot! Damn we need an EMF server…
