MFDE fails to extract MFD's in 4.34
-
I’m running version MFDE 6.0.1.1 on a networked computer, all other instruments extract perfectly, just no MFD’s. Worked fine in 4.33. This on Win 10 Pro 64bit 1809, with the latest Nvidia drivers installed as well.

Got it working with MFDE 0.6.3.0 on Win 7 Pro for 4.34.

Mine is working OK in Windows 10

Updated to 6.30 and extraction works, just not with 6.11. Problem solved.

Where can I find MFD Extractor 6.30? because my 0.6.1.1 the left and right MFD monitors do not appear.

If you only want the MFDs (and perhaps DED, PFLD, RWR) I would recommend using RTTRemote (in your \Falcon BMS 4.34\Tools\RTTRemote folder) as it is faster and less resource hungry.
If you want the extra gauges and don’t want to try Y.A.M.E. then a google search will show you that MFD Extractor 6.30 can be found at: https://github.com/lightningviper/lightningstools/blob/master/releases/End%20User%20Applications/Falcon%20MFD%20Extractor/Version%200.6.3.0/Falcon_MFD_Extractor_v0_6_3_0__x86.zip

I had 6.1.1 and Lightnings site is down, or my saved link is to old, and I am having problems with the MFDs staying where I placed them.
So I hope 6.3 will do the trick.

0.6.3 is working for me just fine in client/server mode. Client on Win 10 and server on Win 7. Haven’t had any issues of things just moving themselves around but not sure if you are client/server or stand alone either.

I worked through my problem with MFDe placement isue.
So I set up a few basics , 2 MFD, RWR & other , sized & placed right. I hit Apply or OK in the Options interface and !The dammed things jump down to the right and grow in size about 20-30% Didn’t matter how I danced around it, same result. The RWR is even off the monitor.
However I could close options window, then position them, as I move the MFD outputs back they shrink to their appropriate size. And then I fly. If I close MFDe I have to dance again next session.
So I’m slow yes but it occurred to me that they increase in size about 125 % and their displacement across the screen is about the same as they would be if the screen shrunk to 8/10ths of its pixel dimensions.
 Win10: “Display - Scale and layout”. I had previously set to 125% , (32" screen, bad eyes). Problem solved , but now a lot of text is just to dam small.
Didn’t have this problem in Win7. I hope Y.A.M.E does better when its back.

I was using RTTRemote with the 4.33 and i was very happy about it. But now with the 4.34 i’ve stopped to using RTTRemote for my MFDs because i lost too much FPS. For example a bms training mission (HARM) with sunny conditions without RTTRemote and TGP on => 65 FPS. Same mission with RTTRemote and TGP on => 30 FPS.

I used RTTRemote client/server. At first I really liked it, but when I had both MFDs running video while boresighting, the client video froze hard lock. Reproduced using default settings 4x and gave up. Gone back to MFDE 0.6.3 working fine.

any idea of how i can upgrade from v0_6_1_1 to the new version.
When i run the installer it tries and install:
Visual C++ “14.10” Runtime Libraries (x86)
Microsoft DirectX 9c Runtimewhich are old and comes back with unable to install as i have much newer versions.
IF i try and run the MSI file then it says i need to uninstall the previous version first. Well then it tries to locate the 0.6.1.1 MFDExtractorSetup.MSI file and i do not have that file on my system anymore. So it fails to uninstall.

Jambo. I have 0611 zip if that is helpful to you to uninstall it.

installed 6.3.0 and still can’t get the MFDs to extract. they just go blank and blink every 10 secs. Windows 10 on server and Win7 on extracted PC.

Try RTTremote (it’s in your “Tools” BMS directory), it’s very easy to setup and also supports remote extraction.
All the best, uwe
