Rudder Petals Saitek or Thrustmaster
-
I need rudder petals to go with my Cougar would like opinions from others.
-
What is your budget?
-
If you’re into simracing as well use your racing wheel pedals as a poor man’s rudder… best bang for the buck IMHO. BMS supports this nicely using the “virtual rudder” function in your hardware setup section.
All the best, Uwe

Budget around two hundred

When purchasing rudder pedals, be sure to get pedals that have “toe in” control as well. Some rudder pedals do not have this feature. Other than that, any rudder pedals should work nicely.

Yes, I use racing pedals, the clutch and throttle. Works perfect.

I purchased the CH pedals and have been very happy with them. It might be another option that is more budget friendly than the Thrustmaster setup.
All my best,

I bought the CH pedals. Very happy with them. However, I have nothing to compare them to.

Have some thrustmaster TPR pedals coming tomorrow, tried the thrustmaster TFR (entry level) ones and they lasted less than a year so I’m back to my CH pedals I’ve had for over a decade…they won’t die. But I hate the sliding action that most pedals have…hence spending over 500 for the TPRs, hope they last as long as the CH ones.

How do you get that to work? When I try my setup, it only works with brake/throttle. Would use it if it would work with clutch/throttle. My clutch is picked up by Falcon in a way not useable as its moving rudder of center in 0 input.

Hello Stevie,
Open CH Pro Pedals, and see what’s wrong with them.
I think the CH factory is in your state, back in California, contact them, explain their problem to them, say that you have this rudder for many years and that you like them a lot, who knows.
CH Products, send you new rudder.
Who knows at CH Products, have someone fly BMS.
In the US it is much easier to solve these situations.

I hope I could help you, post after the solution you got with CH, Good Luck !!!

Did you enable virtual rudder in configuration options?
Description: This is ONLY for people who use racing wheel pedals and are NOT able to combine them into one axis via the wheel’s drivers.
By activating this option AND assigning the pedals to Break and Right Toebrake axis in the UI, the sim will emulate a rudder axis by combining the inputs of these two devices. -
Another suggestion to consider CH pedals. I’ve had mine for many years, work great.

I have had the CH pedals for over 7 years and recently bought the cheaper TM pedals and used them for awhile. After one month, I went back to the CH pedals. Enough said. When I recently had an issue with the Ch pedals, they sent me a replacement part at no charge (and no instructions).
