STRAFING

Is there a way to get your wing men to strafe ground targets??:-D

Attack My Target !

Attack My Target !
but you need to “lock up” the target in one of the SOIs or Padlock.
-
I will give it a shot
Thanks

is there any use at all to put a Jammer on the AI? if not why not always place a center line fuel tank instead
-
More weight. And if I am not wrong, centerline wing tank increases the risks of departure in some conditions.

Why are you asking this?? Of course it can be usefull for AIs.
-
because I thought AI pilots would never use a Jammer

Where did you get this from? AI have used ECM in iterations of Falcon for years. The Xs on the FCR that ‘bounce about’ is a jamming contact. You can even tell your flight members to enabled/disable ECM.

I knew what the X meant and knew about the command but still thought it won’t do a thing since AI was missing almost everything. Example, is the GBU-12 which the AI in 4.33 never hit the target using. It had to be a GBU31 or else a complete miss. But of course now it’s different, with 4 GBU-12 AI was smart enough to pick a different target every attack run.

I never had problems in 4.33 with GB 12 delivered by AI, if you ordered to attack a locked target, the attack, generally was done if conditions allowed it, and it was succesfull always

On my side, AIs were using the GBU-12 quite alright under 4.33 (and 4.32 as well).
-
no I have to disagree, in 4.33 AI was missing everytime it released GBU-12. Now it is fixed and it is very smart it keeps going back to the same target area and pick a new target. By the way I noticed that the radar slants in the MFD (very shortly) much like the blakc rims of the TGP does
-
Correct
The underlying bug that was preventing AI to bomb correctly has been fixed in 4.34
This was a gain not high enough in the AI FM control for alignment with target
-
I thought 3D AI strafing was removed (except A-10?) to prevent attackers that really shouldn’t expose themself to that kind of attack.
-
Could it be related to the distance where I am used to order AIs to attack a target (?) But I always had correct results (not worse than RL average %)
