ICP 'click' and Jettison questions.
-
@mAXpOWER:
1.
2. You jettison your sj selected loadout with the pickle button, gnd jettison enable I just assumed were if you need to jettison when on ground?
Cheers
No problem with jettison all, or selective I got that bit. But don’t get the the enable switches,
Hmmmm. A ‘ground’ jettison…… now that would put the cat among the pidgeons, in the ground crew…'. I don’t think so.
Questions remain.

Hi All,
1. Small thing, but I’m not getting any ‘click’ from mapped keys for ICP, (using my numpad for the most). pit click works fine, and mapped OSB’s also work fine ? (click is good to confirm keystroke is accepted, cause im using an old pcdash, which does not have its own ‘click’, and generally not looking at the ded or icp while doing it). Would be really great especially while entering coordinates.2. The ‘gnd jett enable’ switch does not seem to do anything. I can emerg JETT, and SJ no matter what state its in. And i’m wondering what does the Jett switch on the RWR panel do.
Cheers.
2 - The JETT Switch on the ACMDS CCU Panel jett all the flare for emergency situation (like gear broke landing). You’ll not see any Flare out but the Flare remaining will switch to “0”.
The Ground JETT Enable only authorize the strore jett with WoW activate (Weight on Wheel). But it will not jett the store by him self. Switch the switch to ENABLE, and then made a standart Emergency JETT or Selective JETT with the Master Arm. It will work ;). -
1. the button click sounds are defined in the keyfile here is a row: SimICPALOW 1016 0 0X50 2 0 0 1 “ICP-2-ALOW”
the number 1016 is the “callback” for a certain sound when you make that press, if it should not play a sound the 1*** number is replaced with “-1”
So check your keyfile that you use and see if it looks like my example were you have the ICP buttons mapped.Hope it helped.
Cheers

Key sounds will be fixed later …. when we will have the final version of the BMS.key. It is still WIP.

Thanks Maxpower,
Yes it hit the nail on the head.Just replaced them all, and they work great. Now i’ll have more accurate lat/long entries in my external ICP.

Thanks for reply Dee Jay.
As you see from post above I got the ‘clicks’ into me ICP now, and they are more than adequate for me now.I continue to be amazed the amount of detail you guys have attended to in this sim.
Looks like there will be the abiilty to have different sounds for different ‘types’ of switches/buttons along with the ability to switch some off, for maybe pit users who have plysical sound feedback?
-
Just another thought……
Is it possible to do this with DX buttons (string structure is different), as would be nice to get feedback from some of the shifted mappings.
-
Yes you can use this as a example: SimPickle 0 1097 -2 0 0X0 0
Just copy and paste the numbers and change the first zero to whatever DX button you want to map and change the 1097 to whatever sound you want it to play, look in the keyfile for the right reference for sound number.
I hope it works for you.

CheersAre you sure of that … because for OBS in example, each button has a diferent “sound number” but the sound played is the same for all of them…
?
-
Yes I did see that, but I use the same for all because I was lazy;) I don’t know why they are different really, I doesn’t seem to make any difference though. So in theory I can have whatever sound I want played assigned to a button of my liking, as long as I know what the sounds callback number is?
I just mapped my C mfd this way, no problem.Cheers

What I would like to do … is to make the keystroke’s sound corresponding to hotspot’s sound inside the virtual cockpit…
But I don’t know how to proceed!
-
Then you need a list to translate the keyfile soundnumber to a sound file, maybe it’s within the code? The keyfile gives you some numbers to use, some buttons and switches. One could do it by trial and error, start at 1000 and work the way up, cya next year;)
The different numbers for the OSB I can’t figure out, maybe it has to do with surround?Cheers
-
… I will work on that … should be ok!
Thanks for your help!

Hi all,
First like to thank developers for 4.33. excellent work!!I took the lazy way, and used the old Key file from my 4.32. And the sounds did not work from external input devices again.
I simply replaced all the ICP entries from in the old file with those from the new one, and sounds now working for the ICP.Might help someone…
Cheers
