new to 4.33, but worked fine in 4.32
missed a setting somewhere?
It’s always something with this SIM. You think you have something figured out and then you don’t. Such a steep, tedious learning curve.

Well, this really screams for the wrong frequency. You should double check that again.
-
This is from the Chart in the manual… did you check the Briefing before you hopped in? I take a pic of it, with Steerpoints and all frequencies and keep it available each flight

4.33.

4.33.
As per OP
@OP - check your VHF isn’t tuned to another AB frequency. Check also you are in CNI, not backup.
-
Yep. The doc is 4.34.
-
I think for requesting taxi you should be on ground freq. Looks like you’re on tower freq as per the chart above.
-
Then again that’s 4.34. OP is 4.33.
-
thank you guys, this isnt working as I thought it would. Back to the manual. Thanks for all the help. I’ll report back when I get this figured out.
-
Ok, uninstalled and reinstalled 4.33. reset up my data cartridge with the following steerpoints and com

falcon 1-2 joiningAt each subsequent airport SP 2-7 switching to correct freq T1 and T2 both

after SP7, again just for grins I fly to SP1 and this time get
T1 and T2 from tower acknowledgements
Anyone have any idea whats happening here.
Was it the way I setup the SP’s?
-
Well, I tried it, in 4.33 that I don’t use anymore. This TE starts in Taegu airbase. I set UHF 365.000 by clicking “Set Tower” in the DTC screen, and made it default at 3D start by clicking the box. I went taxiway. I heard what you heard. I typed T-5. I heard “taxi runway 1-4, hold short”.

Good to see you got 4.33 U5 up and running but I would retire that old stick and go to 4.34 64bit…

+1. Things are different in .34 for the better. ATC is completely different and more realistic.
-
ahhh , no matter what my SP’s are are set to, the TE starts in Taegu?
-
I see three flights in this TE, I see they all start in Taegu.
-
Two things to add… it a training TE… it’s scripted… you should follow it. If you want to fly a tour of the peninsula, I would recommend building your own TE… in 4.33Uwhatever, the basic thing to do was go into your DTC, select Uniform Preset 15 and click Set Tower.
-
It’s not in the training list buddy, it’s a .tac file.
-
thanks quasi, agreed. curious by setting preset 15 to tower. does that mean at every steerpoint the tower freq is set? to that steerpoints tower freq?
-
Steerpoints have nothing to do with preset frequencies. It was just standard practice to set your DTC channel 15 to the departure tower frequency. You then change the preset frequency in the scratchpad with ICP.

must be some benefit I can’t determine
