Compared to regular comms (AWACS,TWR,APPROACH).
Its sound like in MONO quality + Low volume. -
IIRC volume and quality depends on the TTS running on your system

The ATIS bug has already been reported. As for the volume and sound quality, mine is fine. Try like JP suggested.

This is not a bug , this is a known issue that has been even written in the original known issues at release

Anyone who has read the new for 4.34 BMS COMMS & NAV MANUAL yes
From page 14: “ATIS is a recorded message. You will therefore hear it constantly in loops as long as your VHF frequency is tuned to the relevant frequency. A known issue for the moment: you cannot change the ATIS volume with the VHF control knob and you may still hear the end of the ATIS loop after having changed the VHF frequency.”

I wish ATIS was quieter in my sim…I have to take my headset off it’s so loud!

Open Speech Recognition/Text-to-Speech properties. Now, left-click on the speaker systray icon, click the on the mixer link and you should have an option to control the TTS volume. This is Win7 - no idea about W10, it’s probably hidden somewhere else.
