Korea tiles HD.

Thanx i aint that stupid guys, i know some basics on gfx. It would look exactly the same and i wouldn’t even go to the trouble doing so.
All tiles are auto processed to auto add detail to them and at the same time increase the size. Also the apache is having a 4x texture but it doesn’t show from this angle. And in general its texture is very simple, not too much details.
Im waiting to complete the object textures processing and I’ll showcase those also. The low ones, not the high res folder.Edit: I’ll do some freeze side by side for you to see the detail and difference.

Hello,
I suppose it is a sharpen filter ?
What about keeping the same size and sharpening the tiles ?
Cheers,
Radium

sure it sharpens but not only.
I don’t know how it works, and what exactly it does but it looks nice.I updated the first post with side by side images.
hmm same size… didn’t think about it I might tried it on some to see how it looks. Though I believe the tool has a minimum of 2x the size but it has and a custom one.

i wish there would be more building density on the cities

I dont want to golden the pill but it says it uses Artificial Intelligence .
From samples I’ve seen and tested im convinced. Their AI is smart enough. [emoji38]Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-T818A using Tapatalk

interesting indeed, hope to see it evolving into a finished mod.

Hello, Gentlemen.
Thanks a lot to you, dear Arty, for your trust in me and the very few I could do for you.
And it was fun, believe me on that!I’m adding just a few lines here to clarify that I didn’t process, on purpose, only the night tiles (so left intentionally at their original resolution) after an interesting discussion with Arty.
And well, on my machine… I got not less than 185 fps, with a maximum of 285 - I have an Intel i9 (some other stuff about the MB and the RAM, of course) and a Nvidia 2080Ti, fine tuned by myself to perform in BMS well.
With best regards to all.

Hmm……dds compression supports 72 PPI only…but …you can feed it a little higher and sharpen it with the tool, say 16x16x16ARGB…then you have GUAM PR tile’s…LOL!!!
Good luck there Gent’s and lemme know how it progress’s
Cheer’s

It might sound stupid but … it could work

Yeap. are you going to go for the process of some thousands of tiles and merging them with generic ones and sea - water areas?
Many theaters where started many many years ago and those tools weren’t available not to mention pc’s couldn’t handle such big pictures and workload.
Those are known now I believe to most theater makers. The issue is that it needs an extra enormous amount of time and stamina. -
Arty, hear me out please. If this process will require creating the alpha water areas again, then just forget about it, really it doesn’t worth it. Especially that something new is in the making and all theaters will need to be redone anyway.

I knew you would say so.
3d cities… Arty forget it.
hd Tiles… Arty forget it.
hmmm I need a strike 3 to close the circle… :rofl:Oh oh can I do Object textures???
//Arty sees Dee-Jay and Eghi coming with a hummer, each, banging on hand screaming… have you forgotten something?
Well There is a way to get the transparency while converting to png.
The thing is that needs to open in photoshop I believe and add the sea area bellow.
I must open an original watered dds and see it and see how easy it can be done. Maybe scripting it in photoshop to auto do all at once? Though finding all those with Alpha will be kinda hard, thankfully xnview in list view displays which are DXT5 and it’s very easy to isolate those as they 90% have Alpha.
For example in Korea only 856 have Alpha.
I just didn’t had time to actually test at least one to see how it goes and if it’s easily doable. Sorry but it’s been years since I messed with tiles, and imagine what I mostly did was an Island… Santorini… :lol:May I ask here:
Why Night water tiles don’t have DXT5 and all are DXT1?
Sure size but why not DXT5 with the Alpha for water? shouldn’t show in the night similarly like the day? like a play of light from the moon light?
Or is it and I didn’t see it? -

No, probably not that soon. But however since theater building and tiles creation are long processes, I gave my opinion, as probably both will change dramatically in the future.

i see…better hold theater modding for a while… in case of modding work becomes useless.

Really depend on the “how long you need to work on the mod” compare to “when the next version of falcon will release”.
if the mod will be available in at least 1 year, i would suggest to keep it going. -

Who knows… but it could also be, let’s just wait what the devs. will tell us about after completing their work.
That was what I undesrtood, and I see I-Hawk’s point - thanks for what you thought it appropriate to anticipate us about, BTW.
With best regards to all.
