However… I’m no longer able to tolerate staring at a tiny 2d compressed image.
Will BMS ever support VR?
I mean… DCS, IL-2, Prepar, X-Plane all support VR.
I really get tired of hearing this. We get it. You are unable to go back to a monitor after using VR. Maybe someday you’ll get your wish, but this request has been made over and over again and IMO is not much different than asking for a release date. Maybe you VR guys could start a general VR thread that I wouldn’t be tricked into opening or at least include VR in the title so I know not to bother opening.

BUT, but, aren’t you from the Show Me State??:lol::lol:

+1. DCS, IL2 Prepar, X-Plane all support VR, and all have million dollar development teams behind them. BMS in the meantime have a bunch of volunteers doing it in their spare time. This “I want it, and I want it NOW” generation really gets on my tits sometimes…

Feathers, let me try to take the high road here- We are fortunate to have choices like BMS and/or DCS. If you have to make a choice, choose what works best for you. For me BMS, or a half finished DCS, was an easy choice to make. Or, may I suggest enjoying both for what they have? I’ll jump over to DCS when a get a “taste” for Hornet avionics, but I always come back here. Here I get a mature sim where everything works, where I have manuals, where I have a plethora of theaters, etc.

Hi!
Will BMS ever support VR?
Answer is: Probably yes.
The other question then could be: “When?”
There is simply no answer to that question.
Regards.

I’m not sure jumping down new guys throats is the best and most welcoming idea.
VR is popular, alot of people are going to ask about it. get over it.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t go to other peoples houses and tell them I can’t tolerate the way things are, and follow it up by comparing their house to the neighbors. That is essentially what this guy did. From the sound of it, he’s not interested in BMS in it’s current state anyway, so I don’t think we have to worry about him being a part of the community until his holy grail is brought to the table.
@ C9…Monday x2

Yeah, and if new guy had bothered to take 15 minutes to find his way around, he’d find there are plenty Q and A on the very same subject. New guy has made 1 post here… 1 post.

Bad choice of wording on my part - let me rephrase:
This “I want it, and I want it NOW” society really gets on my tits sometimes…

GOTS guys… GOTS… and keep calm.

… “or I’ll have to shoot you”.
Eerrr… not quite. This is not a Clint Eastwood movie, incorrect quotation.
With best regards.

I remember my Amiga 500 so well. One of my best memories was Wing Commander. It was so popular that they tried to release it for that computer. At times, there was 2 or 3 fps during hard turns in the middle of a dogfight, most of the times barely 8 to 10. I loved it to death.
I wanted Wing Commander NOW and I got it, whatever the computer.I think I want BMS enough, whatever the screen.

“Flight of the Intruder” was also great to get a taste of things to come when you connected two Amigas via serial cable with your mate flying the Intruder and yourself in the Phantom… we do take these things for granted nowadays far too often.
All the best,
Uwe

Don’t worry everyone, guys.
BMS 4.36 will also run on Amigas.
With best regards.
