Is it worth to update to 4.34.1?
-
Just desactivate the squadrons (set human control) and remove existing flights already fragged from those squadrons
If somebody does not wish to create flights manually?

-
i dont understand the question
You said if anybody wants avoid CTD because of Choongwon airbase delete the flights and set human contro for sq. there
In this case flights are not generated automatiucaly = sq. has 0 power you have to create the flights manually.
But if you do not wish to do this it is easier to delete or replace the sq. with Mission Commander.Is this correct?

no
you dont want the airbase to be active so YOU DONT CREATE FLIGHS MANUALLY !!!

4.34 U0 had very critical CTD as well : people had to remove all Helicpoters from campaign / TE else => CTD
I had some dozen TE flights in stock u0, missions always populated with at least 6 choppers (2 Apaches, 2 Chinook, 2 Seahawk) flying around Kunsan, never experienced something weird or ctd’s… Maybe I or mission did not triggered the corresponding action that should result in a ctd;

I have a full pit video of one night mission where I downed the 2 Apaches with one -120 and one IrisT, also tracked the scene on Landirn TGP pod, nothing bad happened. :noidea:
Just discussing this loud, maybe no need to since it is fixed; in u1. Maybe the ctd involving AI attacking the choppers;

i read some U1 bug reports, some are serious bugs, e.g. RWR texture error, radio fail, or new CTD. maybe more i haven’t read.
so is it a good time to update now? or wait for next one?Gear, IMHO, I’d update. Firstly, if we don’t act as crash test dummies(pun intended), how can BMS evolve? Secondly, I seen over the years that not everyone has the same bugs. For example, as I generally gravitate to the Balkans, TVT issues don’t effect me. I can say that in KTO,Balkans, and K’2012(those I’ve flown in U1)in the Viper,Hornet, and SH, I’ve not had anything I would call a bug . I did have an issue with the Rhino, but that was resolved with s some acdata tweaking. Thirdly, my Super Hornet issue raises another point. It was a head scratcher for awhile, but it was ultimately corrected. The point is, IF you update and get a bug or 2, the odds are vastly in your favor they won’t be “showstoppers”

My 2 cents is that U1 is much better for SOLO flying (I do not do MP btw). I did discover the Choongwon issue, but frankly I have had no CTD issues by just not flying any missions from it. It is still active and creating AI flights in my campaign but, again, I’m just not joing any flights out ofit. Just an FYI. But this issue is far less a problem, in my opinion, than the helo CTDs I had previously.

I don’t seem to have a Falcon setup folder. I believe the full installer didn’t use one? I could be wrong, so how would I go about installing the incremental update?
-
If you actually deleted that folder (after installing BMS 4.34.0 and not understanding that it’s needed/must be kept) than you’ll likely need to reinstall to get it back (?) – but if you’re just not sure where it is located, and you’re on Win10 I see, and run multiple hard drives where it may be hidden, try Void Tools “Everything” search tool - instantly finds any file on any connected drive within seconds (including content searches). But other than that, wish I could help you more - someone has a better answer, I’m sure…

You cannot install 4.34.0 without the installer, and you cannot install any incremental updates with it either. You must have downloaded and created it at least once, so chances are you’ve deleted it afterwards perhaps to save space or simply forgot where you created it initially.
To install the update, you will need to recreate the install from the 4.34.0 download.

You could try looking at the BMS-Manual (in your Docs folder). Chapter 3 (page 12) Installation will walk you through installing and updating BMS.

i make a TE mission, but my AI friends never fire on Mi-26, so no CTD. why?

I ran the 4.34 installer again and it created the setup folder. I then ran the incremental update and pointed it to the setup folder but the actual install process seems to always stop working, at least according to Task Manager.
Any tips on what may be causing the installer to “hang”?
Thanks

Cap, don’t feel bad. When I went to install 4.34.1, setup.exe was simply not on my pc. Where it went I have no idea. I, too redownloaded 34.0.
As for your current problem, all I can think of is that something is missing from your setup folder.This is what is in mine

When you say stop working you might mean that it says not responding?
This is common on Windows processes and does not mean it’s not working. It just takes time.
And previous poster might be right.
