4.34 set file downloading issues
-
Good morning,
Having issues downloading 4.34. I was able to successfully download U1 and U2, But set-up is giving me some problems. Not able to extract. Also, since this is such a huge addition, I am thinking about completely removing 4.33 and all it’s components before installation. Suggestions?Best regards to the BMS Team

You can have 4.33 and 4.34 installed side by side. Just install 4.34 into a seperate location.

More information about your procedure and errors would help.

Hi Sklegin:
While waiting for help maybe you could look up your computer and video card and drop that into your signature. Plus your operating system. HOTAS setup etc. It might help someone that’s more techy than me dial in on what your issue may be. If nothing else, might eliminate some trekking down the wrong troubleshooting path. Good luck mate.

You see this error when you try to launch BMS? This error is mostly happening when you have 32bit dll’s in your 64bit system32 folder, inside windows directory. I would suggest you to download a program called dependency walker and scan the BMS.exe for some missing dependencies. After you launch the walker and scan your BMS.exe if there is any problem you will see some dll’s marked with red color and their architecture(32 or 64bit), then you must find the red marked dll’s for 64bit and place them into system32 folder inside windows directory. If you don’t see any red dll’s, another issue that causes this type of error is some problem with the visual C++ redistributables that are installed in your computer.

I wonder if that’s a good idea for folks to try that are getting CTD’s without any exception code?

This error code is related to program launch, that’s why I’m asking him if he see it during BMS startup, maybe some other ctd’s have something common, but is better to look the log file, if any generated, to spot what causing the crash.
