Link to Phoenix’s 4Byte L2 version of CATE .exe file (only): https://rapidshare.com/files/486943106/Cate4Byte.rar
Instructions:
1. Install 2byte version of CATE as usual.
2. Download 4 byte version of exe file from link above.
3. Back up 2byte version of .exe then overwrite 2byte versions with 4byte version.
4. Run CATE as usual per user manual but it will now be able to modify/build on the 4byte L2 file. -
I have found some pdf with hand painting tutorial for the terrain. I thought it may find some use if I share.

Qestion for folks who have used the airbase levelling tool. When I use it to level airbases, it looks for a file *.CSV (Object Export File). I for the life of me can’t the file anywahere in the BMS directory. Is it packed away somewhere that I have missed?
-
AFAIK and IIRC you have to use Tacedit to create that CSV file which include just the airbases.
(look also at PMC ultimate theater tutorial)Cheers,

One question: I looked over some ground routes years back in SP3 era in old ODS (64). I can’t remember the name of the tool I used for that. There was also a tutorial doc for this. Could someone help? Or what would I need now?
EDIT: I’m getting old, didn’t associate it with TacEdit anymore
If I still could find this neat Doc anywhere…
-
Tacedit not work for adding squadrons??

It should I think. Did you rebuild squadrons after you added the new unit?

BrianDoing all right. Just been busier than a one legged man in a butt kicking contest. How you been? Understand you are working again?
Glad you got BD straight on TacEdit procedure for adding a new squadron. -
I’m doing alright considering the recent breakdown of my 30+yrs of marriage. Feeling a lot better and real comfy here at my daughters house now that I’m mostly moved in. Her place is only about 2 miles from my, uh, EX-HOUSE.:D
Yeah, I went back to work in Feb at a local grocery store as a baker(I’m Baking Academy trained, went through it about 7yrs ago in California). It’s only part time, 4/5 days a week and 5hr shifts. I’m good with that.
Glad to see ya around. Take care,
Brian
