WDP missing icon
-
I downloaded the Weapon Delivery Planner, and I like it! However, the manual says that a kind of “m” looking icon should appear on the mission planning screen. It doesn’t appear in the Korea campaign I am running.
I tried the previous WDP version’s method of finding the mission.ini file. I did find “Auto save” and loaded that, but the right missions do no show up.
The WDP did recognize my callsign, and let me set up everything except the missions.
Any tips? -
Just to update this… I figured out the above question( at least I think i did) but am still unable to load campaign missions. They do not show up in DriveC>>>Save. The TE mission steerpoints do show up on the WDP SP page, but do not populate the actual datacard. I would appreciate some help on this.
I was watching tutorials on this last night and noticed something. The top button ,“open mission” is missing from my WDP. I have WDP 3.7.0.62. My top button is “reload WX”.
Thinking I had a bad install and old version, I went to the WDP site and redownloaded it. Same thing.
BTW, I do not have the M-like icon in my BMS, but am assuming that it is the DTC button.
Help! I’m loving the WDP for all the other things it does, but would like the datacard. -
Hi Drtbkj,
I have just seen your post here…
What “M” like icon are you refering to? The manuals that you can download from the WDP site are very old.
They have not been updated for a long time (and no they will not be updated eighter, takes too much time)
The whole concept what is written in the manuals are still the same, so reading them is still very helpfull.TacticalEngagements are saved in files with extention .tac and campaigns are saved with extention .cam.
Select the one you need.Your flightplan is shown on the datacard for the selected flight. Read the questions (boxes) that WDP is presenting you. Giving the correct answer is important!

Ok, Wondering what you mean with the “M” icon, I have looked at the WDP manual a bit.
Wow how much time has gone by and things have improvedThis is most likely the line you refer to:
You can find the “M” button on the right side of the mission screen in Falcon.
It clearly states: in Falcon

Thanks for the replies and the help.
Yes, we have determined the M iron was simply an old DTC icon. My problem seems to be I am missing the “open Mission” icon in WDP. I can never get to the point where it asks for package number.
Update: Success!!
There is no Open mission icon, you have to look under File. However, Falcas, you gave the real clue. When you click on open Mission, the file extention on bottom right defaults to .tac. When you use that dropdown and change to .cam, Viola!
Thanks for the help -
Anyone live near Charlston SC to help me sort out my WDP ? I’m serious. Won’t make you change any diapers either.
