official IOC since 1978You are right. I checked and my mind tricked me. The export of R-60M started in 1982.

Hi Molnibalage !
I know it’s a little off-topic , but I’m looking for an accurate ordnance pic of the MiG-23L .
I found plenty of examples for the MiG-23BN and the MiG-27 , but not for the MiG-23ML , and I would like to fine tune her a little bit more .
Do you have it in store ?

ML and MLD are different…I would model ML with Apex combo (RL, IR versions R+T) + Aphid/advanced Atoll combination
MLD even with R-24 + R-73
BTW do not forget R-13M1 missile
R-13M (IOC 1974) was quite usefull compared to old R-3S,
it looked like AIM-9D
R-3S range 7,6km, R-13M 15 km, target speed up to 2 500 km/h instead 1 800 km/h, + limited all aspect (head on vs AB target)…also could be fired when carrier is 3,7 g instead 2 g only lmit for R3S carrierBUT
R-13M1 in service from 18.01. 1982, together with MiG-23ML, is derivate of AIM-9J
FOV 40° instead 28° (R-13M), carrier up to 6 g (instead 3,7 g R-13M).R-13M1 was produced 1977 -1981.
