VG BMS4 Co-op | 24/7 Dedicated Server!
-
The VETERANS-GAMING 24/7 Public COOP Campaign Server is updated to 4.34.4 (U4) and the Rolling Fire KTO Campaign has been restarted to Day 1, 0500 – JSTARS Replay from the last campaign has been saved for the VG JSTARS Replay Video project (again, still on the to-do list and coming soon to the VG website).
Many non-AI fragged player squadrons available as usual, Harriers out of Osan and USS Vinson, as well as F-16CM Block 52+ CFT out of Seosan. I have also added some F-15 Eagles, 2 variants at Seosan, and 2 at Osan. Difficulty is hard yet playable for new and experienced pilots depending on choice of mission, because I’ve grounded a most all BLUFOR Strike packages (Warthogs and Hornets) to give OPFOR even more of a fighting chance, and to allow more player interaction FTW. As always, we are open to suggestions and feedback.
Please let me know if something is not quite right, if the difficulty is to hard/easy, or if you would like to volunteer to help manage, maintain, and improve the VG Public BMS COOP Server. We rely upon the pilots to let us know if the server crashes or if anything is not right. Contact us here or at our website (links in my sig/first post in thread), or at our website/Discord/TeamSpeak3 server.
Currently the people (in order of availability) who have access to restart this server if it crashes are myself (SemlerPDX), CobaltUK, or Jeffu
Victory Conditions are as follows:
➢ RoK/US wins if Wonsan and P’yongyang are controlled in less than 30 campaign days.
➢ DPRK wins if Seoul and Pusan are controlled in less than 30 campaign days.
➢ If none of these conditions are met in 30 days then the outcome will be a peace treaty.
➢ If no major objective is captured in 20 days then the outcome will be a stalemate.Player Controlled Squadrons (not fragged by HQ):

Due to some IRL challenges lately, and a new PC build which was a fun distraction, I must admit I was overly hopeful about an earlier release and public beta test rounds, but I’m well on track for a new version around one year from my very first beta tests for Falcon BMS Radios last May. It’s come a long way in one year - Cheers for all the support and appreciation! AVCS is evolving into a nearly full fledged application of it’s own, but will always depend upon VoiceAttack to allow users a familiar GUI to modify and add to (or remove parts) of my profiles for improved personalized usage.

Crashed at 1400 (Campaign Clock) – restarted to that autosave. First days of the war are most taxing on the server, most prone to crashes like this. Please feel free to report when it is down, will get it back up to the latest auto-save asap. Cheers!

Some YT pilots say that if an engine is going to fail it’s likely to do it within the first 200 hours – and you all know BMS is about realism. :drum:
I’m hoping to get on tonight and frag some F-15E flights.

if i want to fly with ai wish airbase i should take off from ?

You can fly with AI from any airbase. For example, Seosan is set for Humans Only (while AI may have some activity here, flights and squadrons are not fragged by HQ out of this airbase), but while at Seosan, you can still frag a flight with yourself including 3 AI pilots, and you’ll all appear on the ramp/taxiway/takeoff depending on how you launch.
If you are looking for a busy airbase with plenty of AI activity to be part of, to fly out of, Osan is the choice for immersion! Very busy airbase, has Player Squadrons available in many flavors, so you’ll always have aircraft not occupied by HQ fragged-AI.

Yea, it was crashed. Thanks for the report! It’s back online now, restarted from the last auto-save. Cheers

Server is down for the update (also cramming in Windows updates, and other cleanup)
Will be back online today or before end of Monday at the latest.

Small setback … tried several times to recreate a Day 1 KTO Rolling Fire campaign savefile in BMS 4.35 via Mission Commander with the familiar ‘human squadrons’ at various airbases (120th @ Seosan, etc. etc.); things all screwed up once campaign launched. Deleted all saves, and gonna try again today.

Current public MC version is not compatible with 4.35
Just start the campaign within the game and setup your human squadrons from there, don’t use MC atm until new version will be available

The VETERANS-GAMING 24/7 Public COOP Campaign Server is updated to 4.35 and our first Rolling Fire KTO Campaign in this new version is underway. Special thanks to Asafboy for help converting our 4.34 Day 1 Master campaign save file for 4.35!! Also, huge thanks to CobaltUK for his help getting the final settings in place, getting the server up and running again, and for helping to maintain the server day-to-day and respond to issues or reports from pilots!!

Due to the frequency of CTD on the server it will now be the standard default KTO rolling fire for several days until we see if stable without remnants of 4.34 campaign. 120th & 80th set non HQ. Hoping for new MC soon to allow for fresh construction of the VG modified rolling fire.

Great server, thanks for accomodating our squadron previously.

Server updated to U2 and back online in Rolling Fire (default). We’ll work on making a customized save file in the near future with some special aircraft available for pilots. For now, we’ll just see how things go in this new update.
Any issues, let us know in the BMS channel of our Discord. Special thanks to CobaltUK for his help day to day keeping the server running well!

The Discord link comes back invalid, are you guys still up and running?

Absolutely! I’ve updated the link, it apparently didn’t have the required ‘https’ and when the quarterly website certificate is very near renewal (I renew it tonite after midnight, expires Mar.28th), the ability for the site to auto-resolve old or incorrect ‘http’ links to ‘https’ fails. Live and learn, right? I’ve only been doing this for like years and years, hahaha!

Just out of surgery myself (arm) so not yet up to even trying to use a flight stick, had been playing RTS and building games like Factorio to get through boredom these past months, but now been coding AVCS stuff again for my VoiceAttack profiles even just chicken poking at the keys and lots of copy/paste/replace. Hoping to get with you all on the server again before too long.

Huge thanks goes to CobaltUK for his help maintaining the server, I truly would be SOL if it was all on me like it was back in the day, especially during periods like this.

And to Kavelenko for getting into hosting group events like the flights this last Saturday! The VG Air Force is slowly coming along, and I can’t wait to be part of it too!

The Public 24/7 VG Falcon BMS Server has been updated to 4.36!
We are currently running the default Rolling Fire KTO campaign, and will see how things go while waiting for Mission Commander to update to a point where we can tailor the campaign once again to favor more human interaction and balance the difficulty with the current number of regularly active pilots. Thanks for your patience during this new testing phase with the new version, thanks to CobaltUK for installing the new version and getting the server up and running for the VG Air Force, and huge thanks to the BMS devs for all their hard work!!!
