Shadows too dark to see cockpit, 4.35
-
Anyone else having this issue? Anytime, shadows are cast in the cockpit you can only see the instruments if the back lighting is on and you can only see the background of the cockpit if the cockpit lighting is on. I have all of the shadowing settings off. Something I’m missing?

Is your helmet visor up? It is down by default, making everything darker.
-
Forgot all about that, it is on by default. Made a big difference. Will continue to test. Thanks.

LEFT ALT + V is not raising the visor for me. Also I can’t find the setting in the corect config table to turn it off. This dark cockpit at 3pm in the afternoon is annoying me. Where am I going wrong?

Yes - the dark visor is WAY too dark. I could do without any visor simulation, personally.

you could adjust the visor tint or even change the color of the visor by adding
visor_tint_color
to the corresponding Falcon BMS 4.35\Data\Art\CkptArt\XXXXX\3dckpit.datsome examples
Default visor tint
Defaultvisor_tint_color 90000000
visor_tint_color 50000000
visor_tint_color 20000000
you could even color the visor the format is ABGR Alpha Blue Green Red
so i.e a orange with 20% Alpha
visor_tint_color 2000A5FF -
Great info, but I’ll go with setting the default to up and call it all good!
