Which are by now the benefits of DX11
-
I want to know, which at the moment are the benefits of DX11.-
In my case the only diference I noticed is that when landing and using the hook either at land or at a carrier, the aircraft lightens as it is going to explode.-
Perhaps there are some which I could not notice at the moment, but of course I am conscious about the future posibilities in graphics improvements.- -
nothing yet…but its coming, 2-3 weeks.

It’s a new rendering engine, even though you can’t see almost any difference. That is important from design aspect and from POV of future possibilities.
2. Performance - The sim will almost never now become GPU bound on a normal system. This wasn’t always true before.
3. Z-Fighting - There should be 0, and if there are some, it means Z values are really close/same. We moved to a reverse Z-Buffer technique. The too bright light is actually buggy/inaccurate and should be taken care of.

Not that there are any plans that I know of but it does make it VR compatible

I would speculate - better Linux performance, as DXVK implementation is typically much better than D9VK

That is definitely true. I went from 45-50fps to 100+ with 4.35 under Linux. I actually get better FPS on Linux than Windows, same hardware.

u guys r almost all off topic. the guy asks BY NOW what are the differences.
To answer the guy:
1. better visuals. example environment.
2. better performance.
3. Hope for the future… -

Tried using DXVK in windows, crashes instantly when loading 3D. Such a shame.

Do you have a working vulkan driver? As far as I know, people do use DXVK on windows - its the only way I know of to run DX11 games on Windows XP, for example.

I have a working Vulcan cannon. But… it is only simulated, I am afraid.
