AXIS SHAPING FEATURE?
-
Can anyone point me to where the axis shaping feature is in BMS??
I have the delta sim upgrade for the slew on the Warthog throttle and want to adjust the curves if this is possible. will axis shaping feature do this? or alternatively suggest a program that will enable me to do this.
Thanks
UPDATE…I’ve sorted it now…see below, thanks for your input…BEAKER

I have been using the DeltaSim upgrade for some time now and didn’t need to change the slew speed. Although I do also use Morphine’s profile which may have some axis tuning built in.
In another thread I saw a config addition by “Hoover” which you add to the BMS Config file which allows you to adjust the speed.
I’ll look for it and add a link when I find it.

Thanks for the reply. I cut and paste those lines into the Falcon bms.cfg but no matter where I put them (tried at the end of each section in turn) it made no difference to the slew speed. At a bit of a loss as to what to do next???

The only effects available are exponent and saturation. Saturation means 100% output at less than 100% input. Exponent affects the linearity of the input-output relationship. At any setting 0% input is 0% output and 100% input is 100% output. The only change exponential makes is middling input to different output. E.g. 50% input is <50% output. You won’t notice any change in behavior unless you make partial slew input.
If you want to scale the entire cursor speed the set g_fCursorSpeed 1.0 value is more what you want.

I’ve done it, well what works for me.
I went into Falcon bms 4.35/user/config/ and opened falcon bms.cfg up with Notepad. Changed the line set g_fCursorSpeed 0.5 to set g_fCursorSpeed 0.4. This has slowed the curser down sufficiently for me. Thanks everyone for your input.:)
