Unfortunately RTT client does not work in 4.35 U2
Looks like RTT client is disabeld when BMS starts up …Read the install instruction for U2 which will tell you that the user/config/falcon bms.cfg gets overwritten and you have to reapply changes made to the cfg again.
So in case of RTT
need to changed fromset g_bExportRTTTextures 0
to
set g_bExportRTTTextures 1
already indicated to the devs that this might be handle in a more user friendly way with keeping previos changes in the future

Thanks for this info !

RTT Client works fine in U2 as usual.
-
Yeah if you re-enable it, yes it does.

I still have the problem that I can not close RTT Client. Once I open it, it keeps running. Going to the taskbar and click on it there doesn’t help either. The only option is to use Task Manager and close it from there.
It was specially a pain when I needed to re-install and re-adjust the correct X,Y settings for version U2. In the past you could just drag and resize with the mouse. Well, who needs use friendliness anyway? :nerd:
-
Hmm that is strange. I have no issues clicking on it and shutting it down.

Snoopy hit me up on our discord

Thanks…

Just a stupid question: have you tried RIGHT-clicking on the taskbar icon? (the little one, not the one that represents the open windows) You’ll be able to shut down the RTT processes from there. It took me a while to find this out too, so that’s why I’m asking
All the best,
Uwe

Yes, I have tried this too. Unfortunately it does not work.

So also taskbar notification area right click shutdown doesn’t work?
-
I stand corrected. That does work. I misunderstood the click right on taskbar for right-click on taskbar. :uham:
One works and the other doesn’t. Wasn’t aware there was an icon to be found there too as it is hidden. So there is a workaround to close RTT besides task manager. Not sure if it helps me a lot. I use a triple screen set up in 7680x1440 and all my other icons are on the left most screen. So that is a loooooong mouse walk to the notification area each time. :crutch:
I just hope I never have to set the precise coordinates for the MFD’s again……

There is a tool for editing the RTT Client.ini with at least rudimentary UI and the reason I preferred MFDE due to the drag and drop resize

I used Yame64 so far. My BMS computer has a graphics card for the three 32" 1440p screens. It also runs two 8" LCD screens for both MFD’s on that graphics card. For that I used Yame64 client. At the same time I had Yame64 server running. This PC runs a 6th screen (8" LCD) with AIDA^64 showing basic information about CPU/GPU load, temperaturs etc.
A second (simple) PC ran Yame64 for three more screens. A 4.3" for the RWR, a 5" for the ADI and FFI. And a 10.4" for the basic flight instruments.
I don’t have a full cockpit but the main instruments in a simpler form around a ACES II lookalike seat.

Nice pit. For me YAME is a DEAD horse at the moment. No updating in sight and closed source. With other Extraction tools such as MFDE and Helios they are either actively developed or I have at least access to the source code and can fix stuff myself
