T.A.R.G.E.T. or TM CCP?
-
I just gotten a TM TRFP rudder (which connects to USB, NOT via the Cougar) and I must use TARGET to configure its axes curves.
TARGET also detects my Cougar, which axes I would also be able to configure in there, no longer needing the Cougar Control Panel / viewer anymore.
I can run both side by side, but I’d rather use only one, TARGET or TM CCP.
Do you guys prefer TM CCP or do most use TARGET? Why the preference for on or the other?
Thx! -

Thx!To be honest, most prefer Neither! Falcon flies fine without any key assignment program. But, In your case, I would say TM CCP, just cuz TM Cougar’s are such old tech. Sure TARGET is probably backwards compatible, but with the correct key file (reference folder C:\…\Falcon BMS 4.35\User\Config), you really don’t need TARGET…and you only need TM CCP to make sure your stick and throttle are “seen”.

I use neither, but if you are planning to use your TRFP with your Cougar you’re really stuck to have to use TARGET or nothing…as the CCP is going to force you to have to use both…or nothing. But really - nothing should work just fine…
-
Thx guys, I think I’ll need to go for TARGET, as I use the TM software to make axes more/less sensitive - which cannot be done in the BMS UI.
-
CCP has dead zones and axis shaping so not issue for the “make more/less sensitive” Its not intrusive being only to initially setup the cougars firmware then closed. I do not see the conflict.
-
Well, CobaltUK, as my rudder (TM TRFP) connects directly into USB and not via the Cougar, I think it won’t be detected by CCP, right?
-
That is affirmative.
