Hmph! Why the push for MSFS in a BMS dedicated section?
Though the actual flight is lost in the mists of time, my experience is still vivid. I participated in a ‘race’ one day online. It was a twisting flight path, with waypoints every few miles or so, low level through mountainous terrain. That was challenging enough, but we were also carrying munitions that restricted us to Cat III g-forces because our “finish line” was a target we had to bomb.
I managed to successfully navigate the course and hit my target, and had a case of the shakes during the relatively placid flight back to the home drome due to coming down from the adrenaline rush.

This is how to have a race playing BMS. Sorry for the weird resolution of the video, it was originally uploaded in 1080p, youtube some how managed to reformat it.

I definitely didn’t survive running in to that sign trying to get to the ramp and park! Yes there was a winner, but I don’t remember who, that was back in the day of 4.32 .
We took off from Kimpo. Rules were to not cut the steerpoints, fly with smoke on, fly under the big bridge, and fly through any hangar at the airbase. First back to the ramp and parked was the winner. We used to do this once a month or so.
Pilots I remember being in the video were Shadow, Dutch, Squidbait, Hard Deck, myself and I can’t remember who the 6th pilot was.
Glad you liked that airtex2019!

I remember participating in a 801st memorial flight back when I was in the 420th several years ago. We flew this same route so you guys must have been practicing. I believe the 27th showed up as well. One hell of a fun night. I remember it being called a boat race and there had to be 10 or 15 of us. There was another video of that one but damned if I can find it now. I remember watching Shad skidding by sideways off the left side of the runway on the chaotic landing back at the airfield. Thanks for the memory! Been a while since I have done anything like that in BMS.

Found it! Can’t believe that was over six years ago. Time flies.

Thanks for posting that. Unfortunately I was unable to make that race. More pilots and mayhem for that one than the video I had linked which was from 9 years ago.
