MidEast theater 128 segments (for 4.35 U3)
-
Ah, one more thought:
I guess that the conclusion above might be reasonably applied to all those theaters released or updated according with the U2 standards as well.With best regards.

was just wondering if the night vision is too exaggerated because at the start of the engine nothing on either console is visible, not even the wings. Given that all objects radiate in the IR range there should be some visibility.
-
@alfred I experienced the same. I have had to skip ramp start and start from taxiing
-
@zamcesarc either change für Ambient Light setting in cfg file. Other than that use the keyboard commands to set Main power to battery and then spotlight on.
Default binds are
Battery switch up is Shift+Alt+W Spotlight is Shift + S -
I did the second, key combination to turn on Batt then spotlight.
But what if there is a dogfight at night? the ground doesn’t look clear either -

But what if there is a dogfight at night? the ground doesn’t look clear eithersounds like you should use your instruments for IFR conditions

a dogfight at night is generally a bad idea IMHO

Good morning (or so), dear Goro.
For my native curiosity only, and also if all is currently going fine as well, may I ask if, after U3 released, would we expect this theater to be updated too?
(even if something is telling me that you are already at work on this too, among all the other matters, of course)Thanks in advance and with best regards.

Hello Jackal.
Now I am waiting for the SU-22 model from Luke 777 to be ready. For integration into the theater. Then there will be an update. -
@SpbGoro. And All,
I have been working to update airbase names in Balkans Theater, and during that project, I found that since 4.35, we are no longer “slot-limited” on airbase frags! That means I can add as many additional airbase frags as we need, allowing me to do proper renaming of every airbase in Mideast128 Theater! I won’t do the airstrips - they’ll remain “generic” by country, but when I finish Balkans, I will do all Iraqi, and Iranian (and any Coalition airbases that were left out) airbase names for Mideast128. Estimate 2-3 weeks to complete this work.

Thank you very much Tomcattwo. Some of the airstrip need major work and it’s a waste not to take advantage of them in offensives. For example Turaif airstrip which in real looks well constructed compared to the one we see in the theater.

Soon will be added new campaign “Iraqi Freedom”.
It will be possible to use aircraft with modern weapons.

great news, thank you indeed. I am really looking forward to Iran theater where we use modern jets & weapons. Will that be added here too?

Iran is neutral here, it did not participate in the 2003 coalition operation.

… or this is what we are allowed to “know” about, that’s a little different matter, you know.
Fair choice, anyway.
With best regards.

All,
I am almost finished doing airbase renaming (voice/subtitles/ATIS) for Balkans Theater. During work on that project, I found that I could successfully ADD sound frags to the files such that (as of 4.35) we are no longer limited to just 50 “slots”. I can add airbase names for EVERY airbase (for all teams). And that is what I have started doing for Mideast128 Theater. I anticipate this work will take a week or less - voice cloning of ~356 new or updated .wav files for Mideast128 Theater and doing all the necessary file updates.I do NOT plan to do specific names for airstrips (most airstrips don’t generally have an active tower or approach) - I will continue to use “generic” names for airstrips (e.g. “Bahraini Airstrip” etc.). I will send the update to SpbGoro as soon as I get it finished and he will include it in his next Theater update.
Regards,
Tomcattwo

@tomcattwo
Sounds really great, dear mate. Thanks a lot!With best compliments and regards.
-
@spbgoro yes that is correct they were neutral in all the gulf wars except theirs. I was referring to Jackal’s Iran Theater.
-
@alfred
I thank you a lot for your appreciation, but that theater wasn’t a craft of mine, mate. I only had the honor to announce it, and that was all I made.
This is intended just to give the due credit to those ones who deserved it for their hard work and committment in making Falcon always better.With best regards.
