F-16 HD cockpit

@vattila11 That looks amazing. Only one thing, it looks like the aircraft just came out of the factory. I would personally prefer a more used look to the cockpit. But it sure looks great.
-
@nil Thank you! I did not have time to add weathering too.
-
@vattila11 Not criticizing you in any way. You need a place to start, and this certainly is a good start. Weathering can come in time. I have no idea on how to do what you have done, so I fully respect the result you have shown. Keep walking
-
Wow, that looks great!

@vattila11 nice work ,i hop u update the 8003.dds and 8010.dds files … it is the secret of any cockpit … if u like some help in this 2 files send me.
-
@sheref Thank you! In the 8003 already placed a black embossed texture as a uniform panel cover. I have never been in a real F-16 before, so I created something I like and looks OK. The 8010 is the same story. I was looking for a high detailed painted steel texture to place for the window frame. If you have better ideas please share it!

@vattila11 Excellent work pilot and I will tell you, that clean texture without dirt and without wear effects is perfect and helps a lot to those who have or who fly their simulators in not very high resolutions due to performance problems or fly with the field of view (FOV ) a little behind normal. It would be great that if you add some kind of wear, keep the 2 versions with and without wear, even if you want to do it in high resolution 8k magnificent.
So we reiterate our gratitude and congratulate you for this work.
greetings from the caribbean

Nice improvement like that makes a huge difference. I agree that a clean and a used (not too used) version would be great.
thanks for your hard work.

Dear All, thank you for the compliments! For now this is what I have and personally I prefer the clean and new cockpit, that is why I did that way (and it was faster too). I can not promise anything and also I need to research first about that dirty/used technique (I will check some DCS cockpit), because I do not want to do something what does not look good in the end.

@vattila11
This is really great.
However, when I turn on the instrument light in daylight, the letters and gauges do not seem to overlap well.
Do you have any plans to update the 8040.dds and 8041.dds? -
You are well done!
Continue, but leave the option of the new cockpit. I love flying new planes. And someone also likes the sides worn out over the years. -

Hi all, any news on this?

cheers

John

can someone tell me files are for canopy reflection please ?
I know it must be around 7998,7999, 8002 to 8042 ???
I want to make them a little more visible .
unless someone wants to share their files :)
Mud

@Tass thank you for the link. I had issue with my Google drive, I had to remove all of my files.
Dear All, I do not work on this mod anymore. It was just a one time (but long) effort together with the HD runway texture to make the game more enjoyable with nicer textures.
I did only these two improvements and had no more idea.
After I finished these improvements I hesitated at least half a year to share this on the forum. I did not know what to expect from the community, since I did these mods for my pleasure.
But then I decided to share, and it looked like you like it.
But for me I really do not know what else to do, what else to contribute.
