Intra-Package Comms

Is there anyway to hear reports for flights within the package. UHF Channel 6 gives picture calls but anything relevant to SA during a strike package (like flights pushing, escorts engaging, SEAD flights engaging or hitting SAM sites, strikes reporting in, bombs away, and off) don’t seem to be called. Is there a way to change that? If there isn’t is that realistic for flights in a package to not make any informative calls?

@amr35 not really in SP to get that immersion you would need to join larger Multiplayer Events

3 - 4 weeks.

This did exist in previous versions. Blufor channel, package channel etc
Was removed due to realism AFAIK which is a shame because I used to enjoy tuning into these channels when the air war was quiet.

You can try UHF 5 from times to times. AWACS reports, including far from your position.

Hi!
It is absolutely not a shame because this infamous thing was blocking some important comm’s for … nothing.
We could do something similar (you can still do on your side) is running YouTube on the background broadcasting real life AWACS chatter. Result is the same or even better. SA provided will remains the same … aka nul. -
@dee-jay You seem defensive unnecessarily.
I always assumed the package channel was accurate to what was happening in sim.

It was accurate to what was happening in sim. … but it wasn’t “package” only , it was “world” … and without knowing who are speaking and where they are, it is completely pointless comms.
Just try to think about it.If now you hear:
“2, engaging Mig-29 BRAA 220 20 10 thousands.”
You don’t know who is 2 (is it Cowboy 2-2, Cowboy 2 leader, Snake 4-2, Serpent 6-2 … ?) and you don’t know his position (20NM north West position? … 200Nm deep inside DPRK? … 50Nm south over ROK ?) … what can you do with a BRAA call ? … etc …
meantime, this message cuts a comm’s from your wingman telling you that you have a bandit in your 6 …Does it helps the SA? …
No. It ruins it.
It is not a defensive attitude. It is only about saying facts.
.
Those “world” comms was not much useful than a fake -
One time my radio broke, shocked to see I had much better SA paying attention to my rwr/radar picture than endlessly requesting picture.
