Solved "OpenGLLOD" Issue
-
Hi.
I use the OpenGLLOD.exe application very often when painting airplanes. (D:\Falcon BMS 4.35\Tools\OpenGLLOD) The OpenGLLOD.exe I used to view airplane models was working fine.
But it hasn’t been working properly for a while. Canopies and some aircraft regions are no longer displayed properly. (I’ve shared some screenshots below.)
What setting might be wrong? How can I fix?

Actually my problem with OpenGLLOD is not solved. Microsoft Office (without my knowledge) has made an update for web display. Even though I uninstalled the update, the problem did not go away.I also use BMS’s own 3D viewer as a solution. Although not as useful as OpenGLLOD, this works for me for now.

Have you associated *.LOD to open with D:\Falcon BMS 4.35\Tools\OpenGLLOD\OpenGLLOD.exe
or
are your *.LOD still associated to an older version of OpenGGLOD?To be sure, rightclick your .LOD, pick “open with” and associate it to always open from path above.
Else make sure the correct textures are within the same folder if you have an external Model folder,
or make sure the correct textures resist in \KoreaObj (and/or -hires) if the Model is in the DB.

Thank you very much for your interest. I tried all your suggestions. However, my problem still persists.
Software that worked fine yesterday does not work today. I do not understand.

OT – to post images, first copy the image link to your clipboard, then click the Image icon on the editor bar:
and it will insert this markdown text with “image url” already highlighted:
![alt text](image url)
…just hit CTRL+V to paste the link to overwrite “image url” with the url to the image. The ‘alt text’ appears only when the image does not load, could paste the same link here so folks can follow the link even if the image does not appear.
Here’s the pics from first post:

Your screenshots show that there are textures missing.Check the texture numbers (and texture set(s)) associated with that .LOD using WaveyDaves “Texture Set Editor”, and make sure the correct textures for your model are in place.
If you have extracted DB, then make sure the number of texuresets in Parent.dat match those used in your .LOD.

I tried all your suggestions using the “Texture Set Editor” software. But the result is still the same. The canopy windows, which should be transparent, are not transparent. This error occurs in all model files. (F-15, F-16, F-18 etc.) The error only occurs on canopy windows. 2 days ago this error did not exist. I updated the video card driver. But the problem was not fixed. -
If we are talking about 4.35 u3 and KTO, I’ve no further idea,
why it worked 2 days before for you and why you suddenly get such results, especially without modifying the sim.Dunno if an AntiVir update could be the culprit on your rig.

I think the same way. I think probably a windows update or anti virus update is causing this error.Thank you very much for your interest.
