Ramat David (LLRD) airport diagram
-
I’ve created an new airport diagram for Ramat David (LLRD) because current diagram from 2006 is quite old.
This is my first diagram for BMS and is available at my web site here.
Did you see any mistake or something that can be improved?
The ILS-09 diagram is also on his way.Thank you for your comments.

@101-spyder hey spyder, thanks for producing high-quality airport charts for a non-official theatre. Two small inputs that you could consider:
As far as I can tell, the official charts use this symbol for arrestor wires:
Also, runway 11/29 seems to be missing its length
Cheers

Thank you for your input. I will use this symbol in my next update to be more accurate.
For Rwy 11-29 length, I was unable to find this information. Nothing about it in the database probably because only rwy1, rw2, rw3, rwy4 are listed in all database for BMS. Nothing about rwy5 and 6… If somebody know where I can find it, I will really appreciate to know the source in BMS.

@101-spyder I looked thru all the current standard charts, and no airbase has more than two runways. That is probably why the DB does not go higher than 4.
It should be a suggestion for improvement, since new theatres being built might have the same need for runway 5/6 as you.
If for now you want to measure the 11/29 runway, you could place yourself at one end and taxi to the other and take an INS reading at both ends. That would probably give the distance accurate within a 100 feet or so.

Hi mate!
Impressive work with this first airport diagram.
Some points could be improved/are not correct/missing:
- Arresting cable (both unidirectional or bidirectional) are implemented in BMS. Symbology is wrong
- No need to label official FAA valid symbols (for example: delete “Arresting cable”)
- To me, the font type is hard to read. Use the offcial FAA and BMS type instead which is: Futura BK (Book/Bold)
- Font size of objects labeling overall is to small
- Runway length information is available in MC:
- Runway 11/29 length is not available because of the 4 runway limitation
- Elevation/ARP information is not correct (193ft, not 180ft)
- Objects and features are correct
Heads up:
The BMS team started working on ITO 4.36 charts already.
Any help is welcome. If you are interested to contribute, please write me a PM.Cheers

@micro_440th hey Micro, I see, do you know if other theatres are official as well ?
As for the runway length, the third runway (11/29) at the airbase does not show up in your screenshot from MC - would there be any other source available ?
-
@jayb KTO, Balkans and ITO are officially supported.
How to measure the runway length for 11/29 in 4.35, good question. I’m no DB guy but I will find out.
Cheers

Thank you for each of your suggestions. I am taking note of it and working on the fixes. I would be happy to contribute here according to your immediate needs. I especially like this ITO theater and Ramat David is arguably one of the nicest airbase in Falcon BMS.

@micro_440th
FAA pictogram for arresting wire is now updated on LLRD airport diagram. HotSpot1 (HS 1), fonts, and missing runway length are now in place with some other minor improvements.ILS/DME 09 will be available soon.
