Saitek Smart Technology or other?

Quick question
Are you guys using SST or something else with BMS?
If your using SST, which version? If your using something else, what are you using?Ive installed BMS onto another laptop, i went looking for the SST software and can only find the latest version, 8.xxx its giving me so much grief. On my other laptop i had ver 7.xxx which was the Saitek ver which worked fine but i cant find it anywhere to download it.
So im looking for alternatives or if someone has the installer for version 7.xxx (the saitek version)
Thanks

@warpig I can’t remember which version I use, I have both on my HD IIRC. I think I use the 7.x for everything on my X65F for buttons over the DX32 limit.

Thanks Snake
Ver 7 works as it should. You know when you right click on the profiler on the taskbar and you can see your presets, access the control panel, clear profile and whatever else, with ver 8.xxx the Logitech ver theres none of that. -
@warpig cone to think of it, I have 8.x running side by side too because I have a X56 throttle that I use as a switch panel/helicopter collective the rare times I mess around with rotary wings.

@warpig - if you download from here, under Legacy - you should get Version 7.x.x software. I just did, for my Combat Pro Pedals…though I think the base software covers all devices?

Under legacy? You might have just saved my day. Ill search for that now. Thanks
Where is Legacy? Cant find that under the menus?
-
Snake, next time you fire up your PC can you please check and see if you get those options when you click on the profiler icon?
-
@warpig - I included a link, but the forum deleted it…GRRRRR…I’ll try again…

Note there are two entries on the page - the lower one is ID’d as “Legacy Products”.

Thanks but ive been there. Mine is an x52 so there is no legacy driver for it. Come to think about it I remember also using the Mad Catz driver and software. That was even better than the SST. I search around to see if i can maybe find an older version of the Mad Catz package.

@warpig - you might try grabbing the Software for the Combat Pro Rudder Pedals and see if that does what you’re looking for. As I recall, on of my frustrations with it was that I could see how to use it with the stick (in fact, the Manual is mostly for the stick) and I couldn’t make it do anything at all for my pedals. But it is the 7.x.x version.
The Mad Catz downloads are also still available on Softpedia:

For the Logitech version for the X56, I have to double click on the system tray icon to get the new version of SST to popup. For the X65F and the AV8R, I have to right click on the respective icons each. When I used to have Combat Rudder Pedals, it too had it’s own icon I had to right click.

Ill give the Combat Pro Rudder Pedals software a go and see what happens.
Apart of the options missing in the system tray another weird thing that happens is that i keep loosing functionality on the 3 mode rotary knob. Its setup for Dogfight mode. Sometimes it works fine other times it puts me in one of the modes and changing the modes does nothing. Its definitely not the x52. It could be the SST or maybe a BMS thing. Not sure.
