@geraki Good flights!!

@Geraki Thank you very much for posting this question!
I was thinking of asking about this, too. My TM WH stick on a RS FSSB WH base is still working well, but I am starting to notice a small amount of “play”. I was starting to wonder the same thing you were.
I just ordered a copy of Uri_ba’s stock WH collar through Shapeways. Looking forward to seeing how it works!

@malpaso
Hello, dear hermano.
Thanks for your suggestion.I unfortunately don’t have any stuff at home, and the skills more than probably either, to make it by myself.
Where could I purchase it from, to you?
Thanks in advance and with best regards.

Dear Jackal, how are you?
I hope well!!
You have to be treated with extreme deference!
You can have it done at Shapeways, there is Shapeways in Italy, or Marketplace!
In the post there is the Thingverse link, just download the files!

Here’s what I did:
First, I downloaded the correct .stl file from the thingiverse.com link (which @malpaso gave in his post). In my case, the correct file was the one for a stock Warthog grip.
Then I went to shapeways.com and created an account.
On the Shapeways site, I clicked on the “Get A Quote” link.
Then I dragged-and-dropped the .stl file onto the “Get A Quote” webpage. This uploaded the .stl file to Shapeways. I picked out a material (I think I selected MJF Plastic PA12. I don’t know if that was the best choice, but I had to pick something.)
I forget the rest of the click-throughs that I did from that point, but it was fairly easy to place an order for Shapeways to make one of these WH adapters and mail it to me. I think the total for me was about US$26. I think I paid by PayPal.

… and the same high respect has to be tributed to you, dear hermano and bro, as well and it’s due.Now even this marble head hardened with tytanium (someone has to be first class made here, kids, after all, or you all would sadly miss him ) speaking has seen the true light.
Blues Brothers quote apart, a huge thanks a lot!
Oh, I was to forget one more important thing: thanks a lot, Uri-ba, for your sharp idea and having made this a real accesible “thing”.And stay all safe, my dearest, just the way I am always trying to.
With best regards.

@jackal Try to install 2 triple A (AAA) batteries, between the lower base of the hand grip and the upper face of the locking ring. I have tried this out and in my case it worked. If you find out that there is any slight gap, adjust the locking ring to elliminate it. I hope this can help you, until you get the thingiverse solution which I am also using currently.

I just got my 3D-printed “shim collar” from Shapeways. They made it using Uri_ba’s STL file for the stock Warthog, as I described in one of my previous posts.

I haven’t flown with it yet, but I predict I am going to like it. Now that I have placed in into the gap at the base of my WH stick (on a Realsimulator FSSB), the stick feels very “solid”, with no “play”.

When this part first arrived, I couldn’t quite put it into the gap. It was a little too tall, compared to the size of the gap. I put a sheet of sandpaper on my desk, and carefully rubbed the part around on the sandpaper, to make it a little bit thinner. I only sanded one side, and I changed the way I was holding the part, and the directions that I was moving the part on the sandpaper, many times. I did this in order to (hopefully) keep the sanded side nice and smooth and planar, without removing more plastic from one place than another. The second picture shows the sandpaper when I had it on my desk. I could sand for a little while, then dust off the part, check the fit, and then sand some more.

I sanded until I could just get the part most of the way in to the gap. I can remove it, but it takes a lot of force with my fingers. Now I feel no “play” at all in the stick.

I will be curious to see how this holds up in the long term. If it somehow undergoes “wear”, I guess I can just shim it with some thin tape, or order a new one from Shapeways.

At any rate, I am looking forward to flying with it.
